uncontrollable speed? solutions?

Hi all! I have MVP 2005. Recently, when trying to play the game, I have encountered some issues with the game moving at an extremely fast pace. After the opening videos finish, the game goes rediculously fast through its screens, which would be cool if the gameplay wasn't hyper-speed also. I had the following installed

KC's Total MLB 1.5 uniform update

KSM's 2.5 datafile

EA's Roster Updates (don't seem to affect anything as I have updated to the final patch and no changes in the speed have occurred)

Can someone help me understand why this game is moving so fast. I re-installed it with no mods and it played fine. Is there something wrong with the mods? Any solutions? I would really like to enjoy the mods with my game.

***One side note***

This problem may have started after I installed NBA Live 06. I don't know if that would change anything with MVP. Any help is greatly appreciated! Too bad EA got greedy with the other Licenses. Now they HAVE to make a college baseball game. Here's to hoping it's on PC. EA please bring NCAA football to PC also. PLEASE!!!!

well, my suggestions would be to uninstall both games, then re-install them. If you have a dynasty svaed up pritty far, then go to...

my computer

c

program files

EA Sports

MVP Baseball 2005

Data

Then copy everything but the folders and whats inside them.

Then re-install the games, and put these saved files back into that directory.

If that done work, Then IDK. For this help, I have to charge you. How about you this, I'l make you a ignature and an avatar, you just tell me of what/whom.

I just uninstalled my game and reinstalled it and had this problem all over again.

Go to your options in your game, and under visual or display options, turn vsync off. If it IS off, turn it on. Then try to play your game.

NO NO NO.... the solution is not changing the .exe to the prepatch one since that undoes the patch. The solution is also not reinstalling.

The solution is to simply change the monitor refresh rate to 60 hz. & to make sure as UncleMo said to turn on the V-sync both ingame & on the video card in windows. The reason the V-sync didn't work is probably that magnificentbawlz does not have his v-sync turned on in windows too.
