Jersey Portraits

With what program are you trying to import it? My advice is, take a look at the existing files in uniforms.big, and modify your custom portrait so that it matches the others (in terms of size, attachments, compression, etc.). Then try importing again.

No, EA Graph works fine. The files in uniforms.big that contain the jersey previews are named xxx.fsh (x being numbers). For example, click on 000.fsh to see the different jerseys of the Anaheim Angels. Extract 000.fsh from the archive and make your changes, then re-import the new file, and you're done.

you could also use MVP Studio

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with MVP Studio, are you not also forced to import the U & F files along with the preview pic? (if you try to simply import the preview pic without the other 2 files, does MVP Studio allow this?)

you are correct - I just figured, if he's changing the portrait, he must have changed the uni too :)

Ok, here's what you do:

1.) Open uniforms.big with EA Graph

2.) Click on 026.fsh

3.) "File" --> "Extract" --> save it somewhere (decompressed)

4.) Open saved file with FshEd

5.) Click on 026k

6.) "Object" --> "Edit" --> "New" --> select your new portrait (make sure it's a .bmp file, and that its dimensions are also 128x128 pixels)

7.) "Update" --> "Save as" --> save the modified file

8.) Compress the file with either gfxpak or eazip

9.) Open uniforms.big with EA Graph

10.) "Tools" --> "Import Wizard" (option "Add files to an external TAR archive") --> "Next" --> "Add" --> select your new jersey preview --> "Next"

11.) You're done!

Good luck!

I believe that with MVP Studio, that you can export the original U & F files, then simply replace the preview pic, and overwrite the uniform you wanted to.

You can, but that's a whole long process because you have to go into the models.big file to export those two files first. (I would also recommend recompressing them afterwards since extracting them from the models.big decompresses the files)

ok i already have my uni imported and i'm trying to replace the 026k portrait. I tried almost everything including MVPstudio and it still doesn't work. im doin it for MVP 05

If you used MVP Studio, did you remember to export the uniforms.big file to the frontend folder afterwards?
