bilskie1
OK I know that the installation of these portrait files is pretty damn simple. I used EAGraph to install(as it says to do) Turned on the game, went to edit rosters, clicked on Vinny, Preston, Brocail.....and CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What gives? 8O

mrmariner
I just did my first portrait install yesterday, Mariner Package. I have read that once you start a season you can not ADD photos. I have found this to be true. I was able to replace photos with new ones, so what I'm saying is when I started my owner mode Michael Morse did not have a photo, so when I tried to install one it would crash! I was able to Replace photos with players that already had one.

eber
I'm sorry about whatever headaches it might've caused anyone (I made these portraits). I used MVPedit instead (with my original .bmp files) to install individual portraits and never fully tested out the .fsh files and using EAgraph to install but made .fsh files because it seemed like the standard and easier way of installing multiple files. I used the Dodger portraits as a model to how to make .fsh files for my Padres portraits (a reason why they might seem to crash also) and I now realize it was a bad idea and a rookie mistake. Again, I apologize and I'll try to have it fixed in the next day or so. If I can't make the .fsh files work, I will upload the tweaked pictures of my orignals as .bmp files to install the portraits with MVPedit. krawhitham
the headers are GIMX which seems to be a Need for speed fsh header nfshtool is your friend take a portrait that matches your portrait size (1x or 2x). For example you are using 0475.fsh as the template. nfshtool 0475.fsh the will make a folder called 0475 in that folder you will have 3 files index.fsh 0000.bmp 0000-a.bmp the index.fsh is a normal text file, open it with notepad you will need to change (3 times in the index.fsh) 0475 to match the # of the new portrait you are making. Save the index.fsh file. now copy your two BMPs into that folder. you will need to change the file names to match 0000.bmp & 0000-a.bmp 0000.bmp is the main image 0000-a.bmp is the alpha now run nfshtool index.fsh that will create a new fsh matching your new portrait number in the same folder 0475.fsh sits in that is it you are done

eber
OK...I didn't have any better luck with making .fsh files from my portraits, and as of right now, I've given up on it because it's being a PITA and very frustrating. I won't go much into detail, but I've had problems with nFSHtool and EAgraph. That said, the portraits I made can be installed using MVPedit and following the last two steps in the tutorial here: http://www.mvpmods.com/faq/index.php?actio...id=9&artlang=af To resolve any problems that anyone had in the portraits crashing the game, I have re-uploaded the portraits as .bmp files (including the alpha file) that can be used to install the portraits with MVPedit. Once you have re-installed these portraits, the game should no longer crash. Thanks again for your understanding.

kgbaseball
I'm not sure if anyone still has the problem with these portraits, but they worked perfectly for me. In the file you should have 2 .bmps for each player. Extract them somewhere where you can find them. Here's what I did: Use MVPEdit. Open your .mbe file for your rosters (I believe I had UR 5.0) Find the Padres players you want to change. Double click on their current portrait and click New Picture. Find where you put the .bmps, and open the file that has the person's face (ex: bellhorn.bmp) and open it. Then click on New Alpha and load the alpha file (ex: bellhorn-a.bmp) Do this for all the Padres files you have. Export into /database folder. Done. I apologize if this was explained somewhere else or nobody has this problem anymore. Hope it works for you.
