Hory Posted December 24, 2005 Share Posted December 24, 2005 From the OS forums - I'm guessing Pawtucket (Red Sox AAA), Albuquerque (Marlins AAA), Binghamton (Mets AA), and Erie (Tigers AA) are the problem teams. I decided not to install patch 5 and was able to save but when I try to play the first game of the season the game crashes again. I have been talking to EA by e-mail for a week and everything they have had me try did not work. I would really like to play this game. It works, but I'm just anal enough to want to install the updated rosters. Has anyone gotten the new patches to work? If you attempt to do a draft (including coaches draft), you'll notice the first manager slot is completely blank and causes all kinds of problems to go down. The solution is this: 1) reinstall the game 2) copy the manager file from ...EA SportsMVP Baseball 2005datadatabase 3) install the new patch 4) paste the old manager file over the new one (in the same directory) I've done this and have had no problems whatsoever. WAIT! Instead of reinstalling simply search your CD1 for database and copy/paste/overwrite that one to the one in your EA SportsMVP 2005DataDatabase file.
