dawgpatch
I unchecked the read only and still doesn't work.....
xiberger
Perhaps your models.big has reached the limit of 3,000 entries. That being the case, gfxpak doesn't work anymore, and therefore mvpedit can't show the player portraits.
OleEnglishD
I am having the same prob after downloading all the total portraits. Does this mean that I cannot use all the total portraits in my game? Or do I have to replace my models.big or portrait file?
tebjr
Same problem here. I tried downloading the Tigers total portraits, then all my photos disappeared, and now I can't find them. Any ideas?
big shmooz
I unchecked the read only and still doesn't work..... Why would you uncheck the models.big file to view photos? Btw...the photos are not even located in the models.big file. They are in the portrait.big file. (of which there is no need to keep in read only) Anyway, you should always keep your models.big in read only unless you are actually inserting something into it. Even then you should put it back to read only immediately after you finish doing that which you were doing. There are three reasons as to why MVPEdit would not display your photos... 1) You do not have the box checked to display the portraits. 2) You do not have the proper display folder showing (the data folder) 3) The reason that xiberger gave you. (which is the most likely reason)
big shmooz
I am having the same prob after downloading all the total portraits. Does this mean that I cannot use all the total portraits in my game? Or do I have to replace my models.big or portrait file? Your issue is defintely that you have more than 3,000 files in your portrait.big. As to what this means on a practical level, you will simply need another method to view your photos. (such as eagraph) There is no need to not use the total portraits in your game, unless it is more important to you to be able to view your portraits in MVP Edit than it is to have them in the game. (which I highly doubt would be the case, unless you are some weirdo or something ... just kidding) Btw... on a side note, just for your information, your models.big has absolutely nothing to do with portraits. tebjr
Thanks for your help. I checked my potraits.big file with bigGUI and it says there are 2393 entries. Still not sure why they won't show up. Thanks again
tebjr
I found them. Not really sure how, but I can see them now. Thanks for your help Shmooz.
big shmooz
I found them. Not really sure how, but I can see them now. Thanks for your help Shmooz. Perhaps MVP Edit was not open to the proper folder earlier & now it is. Anyway, I am glad it's working for you now.
