dawgpatch
Is there a step by step way to edit MVP Photos using adobe photoshop?
MarkB
Step by step, I don't think so. Open the portrait.big file in EAGraph, extract the appropriate .fsh, .ord and .orl files, extract the .bmp file from the .fsh, edit the .bmp file in Photoshop, save, re-compress and re-import. Done. :)
dawgpatch
How do you recompress? I can re-import using eagraph right?
MarkB
Recompress by double-clicking the index.fsh file. That will add the .bmp file into the .fsh file, and yes, you can re-import with EAGraph.
dawgpatch
Do i extract the fsh file itself or the 2nd one in the file? I did both and i can't open either in photoshop. I could save the file as a bmp but it has to be compressed first right? Do i extract the fsh first then open the compressed file again in EAGRAPH then save as a bmp? Thanks for taking the time to help me out...
MarkB
When you extract the .fsh file from portrait.big, double-click it and it will create a folder. Inside that folder will be 3 files - xxxx.bmp (xxxx representing the ID number of the file), xxxx-a.bmp (the alpha file, that is the file used to let the game know which parts of the bitmap file it should show and which parts to hide) and index.fsh. Edit the bitmaps as you feel necessary, double-click index.fsh and that will automatically update the original .fsh file you extracted. Then just import that back into portrait.big EAGraph. JP_Frost
how hard is it to edit these portraits? I mean it's basically changing the caps and collars.
dawgpatch
Where is the folder after i extract the .fsh? I extracted it to a folder on my desktop. I clicked on the fsh file but it loads my adobe photoshop.
MarkB
Hmmm, that's strange. Try dragging the .fsh file onto the nfshtool.exe file. That should create the folder.
dawgpatch
dragging it to the nshtool worked...... It created the folder..... I can just edit the bmp from that right?
dawgpatch
after editing the file and saving, what do i need to do next to import it back with eagraph?
dawgpatch
I double clicked the index fsh file but again my adobe photoshop loads.
Pirate
take the three files the port, the alpha and the index file and put them in the same folder with NFSHtool and drag only index over to the NFSHTool. That will make the new Portrait for the game. Then you import it back to the .big file with EAGraph.
