praasch
just curious, but with my laptop harddrive only being 5400 rpm and the game running somewhat choppy during play, would it make more sense to do a minimal install and have most of the files run off the cd or would that not really help out at all??? btw, its a 40gb 5400 rpm harddrive, amd sempron 3000+ 1.8 ghz with ati radeon mobility 200m express graphics set to 128 mb and 768 mb of ram.... Friedman
What kind of laptop do you have? I play MVP Baseball on a Dell Inspiron laptop, and I have no problems with the graphics at all.
tebjr
Hey Friedman, is the Dell Inspiron a good laptop? That's what I ordered. I should be getting it in the next few days. I was just wondering if MVP05 played well on it. Thanks.
MarkB
Welcome to the site, praash. 5,400 RPM should be fine to run the game. The problem is most likely with the graphics as opposed to the hard drive, as many users have experienced it. If I remember correctly, it was patch 3 that corrected the choppy gameplay for most people, although some still had to tinker with their graphics options to get smooth gameplay. praasch
eh, i'll have to play around with the graphics options when i go home on lunch....i've read alot about turning off helmet reflections and using 3d analyze....is that program just for geforce graphics problems or would that help with smoothing out the graphics on the laptop... the laptop is a compaq presario v2405us.....
