DodgersBlues Posted December 30, 2005 Share Posted December 30, 2005 I did a clean install of MVP and installed this roster. I tried playing the hitting minigame and it crashes everytime. 8O I wasn't sure if this issue was reported or not. Once I restored the database folder the minigame was fine so I know it was the modded roster. My guess is that there could be an id conflict with the pitcher in the minigame? The minigame is fine up until the camera changes and has to show the pitcher then the game crashes. Hopefully somebody can look into this. *note The only mod I had install was the roster file and no other mods. Anyone know if there is a fix available, or forthcoming? kicko Posted December 31, 2005 Share Posted December 31, 2005 yeah i have the same issue but my also crashes in exhibition play when loading. I have to use 3d analyze to render high player details, without the 3d analyze on i get the game to play in exhibition but still not mini games. My loading bar is crazy looking too... its red and green blur instead of blue i think it was, anyone know what happen to that?? only mods i had installed was fenway park, ultimate roster, and kc's damon face. i went back to EA's last roster and it seems to not crash now. Do you know what is causing the problem, though, and if it can/will be fixed? I use the mini game quite often to stay sharp reading pitches and stuff since I sometimes take long breaks from playing the game. Its much easier to be able to spend as much time as I need hitting, as opposed to getting a few ABs at a time during the course of a game. Most of the people that are downloading the rosters want to play a Dynasty or Owner Mode and that's where my main focus has got to be when it comes to everything working properly. DodgerBlue08 Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 The pitching mini-game works fine. The batting game only crashes when the camera pans over to show the pitcher. Which would seem likely that the pitcher is causing the problem. Are the batting practice pitchers assigned an ID? If so, maybe it would be as simple as having the pitcher from HR Showdown(which works fine) in place of the mini-game pitcher. If these "players" dont have IDs however, I have no idea what could be causing it. But he probably has an ID assigned to him, and its possible that his ID was assigned to another player for the updated rosters, which is causing the game to crash. At least thats my guess. No idea how to figure out what his ID might be, though. I don't have a log off all players that have been removed but I still have all the players exported in single .mep-files.
