Crash1207
What's the best controller to use with MVP 05? I'm currently using a Saitek P880 that I was using with MVP 04. But I'm seeing that when I use the right analog stick in 05, the runners don't slide how I want them to and the fielders don't dive right. Do I need a different controller or is there a configuation issue?
Guest JWClubbie
I use Logitech (Dual Action) http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...ight=Controller
xiberger
Try to reconfigure your controller by making changes in controller.cfg (located in you user files folder). I got Saitek's P2500 gamepad, which is basically the same as yours except for the rumble feature, and everything works fine with it.

I might go for one of those controllers with the fan. Are any controllers compatible with MVP 05? Can't you get some sort of controller hack, so that you can use any controller? Jim825
I've been using the P880 since MVP2004. The only issue I had is that the default right stick functionality for slides is reversed for the P880 in the controller.cfg file (in your My Documents MVP Baseball 2005 folder). Using the default settings, pushing up gives you a feetfirst slide and pushing down gives you a headfirst slide. Pushing left has you slide to the outside of the bag and pushing right has you slide to the inside of the bag. If you modify your controller config. file with the following settings, it will make the slide controls work properly (up = headfirst, down = feetfirst, left = inside the bag, right = outside the bag): VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 3 Hope this helps. jonalano013
i've had three different types of controllers: a saitek, a recoil, and a nyko airflo. and nyko airflo is by far the best controller i've ever played with. and it wasnt that expensive either. i got it at radio shack for $25. -jon-

golfguy10
Logitech Wireless Gamepad Has the smoothest paddles and the range is excellent. NYKO is good too but I found the joysticks are very sensitive. Made it tough to pitch.

I want to use the controller for everything. Help! Thank you in advance.
