Options for Restoring a Computer

I have had various troubles with my computer, most of which have been related with Viruses and Spyware. I have so many messed up files, my computer barely manages to surf the internet, let alone play MVP. There are plenty of things I do not need on this computer and I have been wanting to Restore my computer to the way it was when it left the Factory. I looked through all the disks and manuals that came included with my computer but never found any Restore disks or instructions on how to restore it. Is there something I can download from the web or buy at a computer store to restore my computer? I have a Dell Dimension 4600 that is a little over a year old. ANY help would be appreciated.

dell computer come with restore discs

if you can not find it, you would need to buy windows, format and reinstall to make it like it was from the factory

I've actually reinstalled windows but it didn't overwrite the old files, so now about 90% of my C: Drive is taken up. =/

well if you've already backed up...try the command

format c: (or something like that)

Then install.

Thanks for your help guys. I was able to fix the problem by re-installing windows xp and deleting the partition that the old OS was on.

i reformat using the format c command.
