HardcoreLegend
Why would you sit a guy on pace for 70 HRs?

Totte
Why would you sit a guy on pace for 70 HRs? Exactly. Having a guy like that on your team is great!
krawhitham
I have JR at 28 HRs through 42 games, it is just a shame no one else on the damn team can hit a HR
aaronuconn
I play on mvp, with some custom sliders and i have MARK ELLIS on pace for 62, I get a lot of home runs with him is because he has got like 3to4 cold zones on high and inside and i just hold the anlog stick (xbox) that way and get a lot of 2B and HR that way. medric822
Ortix is at 3? and its 10 games b4 the allstar game! he hit 71 for me last year! Crawford has 28 triples, and same ammount of games b4 allstar!
Friedman
After messing around with the sliders, and datafile, the game is very realistic, which I lile. Guys like Aubrey Huff don't hit 70 HRs, and guys like David Ortiz have at least 15 by the all star break.
Guest JWClubbie
Well, What recommendations do you have, specifically to keep stats around realistic MLB numbers? Which datafile or other files are the best to keep these realistic?
Viceman2004
In 2005, Vernon Wells had 37 at the All Star Break, and finished with 51. I had like a 1 month slump with him. In 2006 of my dynasty, he has 24 at teh ASB.
facetoface
hey, this is an intersting post, does somebody know some slides to keep the game real? I need it!!!! 'cause I'm playing the first season of my dinasty, about 30 games played and A-Rod's 28 homers is out of this world he is on pace to hit about 151 HR, even the Sheff's 15 HR is a lot he is on pace to 81 HR. this situation cause to start over again my dinasty about 3 times, I remember that in my first dinasty I have 56 HR with A-Rod at the ASB. then i played a few more games and he had 82 Homers and my record was 97-11. thats no funny for me!!! aaronuconn
Face to face, try mvp skill level and try some custom sliders to like turning down user power.
cybernetic
yea I found on Pro it was too easy to hit homers.. when I was in interleague I even hit homers with pitchers who can't hit and have contact/power below
D-Unit
After messing around with the sliders, and datafile, the game is very realistic, which I lile. Guys like Aubrey Huff don't hit 70 HRs, and guys like David Ortiz have at least 15 by the all star break. yeah. my brother plays on rookie and has everything set to the best possible advantage, and when he brags about how good he is i just laugh a him. i just beat him with the AA Clippers and he was the Cardinals... Rags
all my guy's have releastic numbers right now for the A's but i've been using a crappy cheap xbox controller cause i broke my regular xbox controller I used my friends controller last night and beat the yankees 11-0 on mvp level...I'm too good with a regular controller i had 5 HR's in the game i believe as well
D-Unit
for being realistic, the only slider i use is putting the CPU steal rate to 50 because no one steals ever. and i play MVP and i still kick ***.
Tomackze
been simulating through 1st season and played a few games rookie... i usually take over in the 8th or 9th when i'm down... Cliff Floyd has 8-10 HR, a .400 BA, a 1.43 SLG, and 14 RBIs through 8-9 games
D-Unit
one time i played opening day with the cheapest possible sliders on rookie and pitched a perfect game and struck out 20 and won like 60-0. some guy had 5 homers, 7 steals and 22 rbi.
