how do i update w-l record in mvpedit

Unfortunately, you can't. There seems to be a bug in MVPEdit that saves the W-L record incorrectly when you edit and save files. In order to fix it, you need to edit the tstat.dat file in the datadatabase folder. When you open the file, you will see lines like this:

0 unique_team,1 team_wins_1sthalf,2 team_losses_1sthalf,3 team_wins_2ndhalf,4 team_losses_2ndhalf,;

0005972f2,0 AL,1 -,2 -,1 -,2 -,;

00059730a,0 80E,1 90,2 72,1 0,2 0,;

This line with the red and blue text is for the 1980 Expos (this is my file from Total Classics). The text in red (90) is the Wins and the text in blue (72) is the Losses.

I have to retract my previous statement about the bug in MVPEdit. I have tried exporting rosters numerous times today and now the W-L rosters are saved properly. I know that I did see see problems during development of TC, but I can't explain why it now works.

In any case, there still is no way to change the W-L records in MVPEdit. You have to edit the tstat.dat file manually.
