NY_Yankees
Ok, I'm not sure what to fix... I never have singles or doubles with RISP. It's always a fly, HR, or K. But the thing is, I manage to win every game like that. While everyone on my team seems to bat like .240-.270. I hit the biggest slump with Hideki Matsui, he was batting like .202, 54 games into the season. I simed the rest, and he ended up batting .287. A-Rod had like 20 HR, 45 RBI, with around 67 hits. I forgot what his BA was. His OPB was horrible. Everyone else had like 20 RBIs. When I used the sim, everyone seemed to pan out like it was real life. What would be the best way to fix this? Lower CPU ball rate, and increase user hitting? I'll probably decrease the power. I play on AS, with Pareds sliders modified a bit. I just hate the all or nothing offense. bigmo78
this may not help much but i started out the same way and found the high the difficulty level the worse i got because its harder to hit home runs at the next level. So i went and played the mini game on MVP for days using that to get the timing and whether or not i swing high or low down. I dont thinks its an attribute issue. I give ea lots of credit for making a great game that mimicks hitting. I played ball for 15 years and love the hitting in this game becuase it is frustrating (much like real baseball) and takes alot of work. Stick to the mini game and treat it like practice. I think youll notice a difference and good luck
sinner78
I dont know if its my imagination but hitting seems to have become harder since the last few patches were installed. I dont know if the patches tuned up the hitting part of the game to make it harder!!! I deffo aint hitting as many HR and getting fewer hits in general. But it aint the hitting that annoys me in the game!! its the fact that all the CPU fielders are supermen who pull off ridiculous catches and all have laser cannon arms . paldragons
man you guys need to use my sliders ive got this thing down to a science for real ... I play on MVP difficulty with these sliders and get very realistic outcomes when I either sim or play games. Just like in real life somtimes I will score 0-3 runs a game somtimes ill have games with big scores like 15 runs just like in real life. be warned these settings do make the game challenging and you actually have to take pitches to wear down the pitcher. user pitch difficulty 35 user pitch control -35 cpu pitch control -15 user pitch fatigue -5 cpu pitch fatigue -12 bullpen stuff set to 0 cpu ball rate 7 user hitting 0 to 15 (depending on how good you are) user power 5 cpu hitting 0 cpu power -5 cpu swing frequency -15 cpu OF speed -12 cpu OF throw accuracy -12 user OF speed 5 user OF throw accuracy 5 cpu IF speed -12 cpu IF throw accuracy -12 user IF speed 5 user IF throw accuracy 5 cpu foul ball 35 player foul ball 35 cpu error 35 user error 25 cpu base running speed 4 player base running speed 7 cpu base run aggression 4 player steal delay -7 cpu steal delay -4 all injury settings -10 (this really is personal prefernce here) pitching mg difficulty 10 try em out see what you think... i typed this stuff off the top of my head so things may not be in exact order... but ive messed with these settings so much that i have them memorized. mrmariner
I don't see anyone saying that they are using a data file, thats what you need first and adjust your sliders to your game playing ability because everyone plays different. data files actually mod the game, Like move the infielders in a notch and move the outfielders back alittle which makes it more difficult for the infielders to reach everything. You will also notice alot of bloop hits, the infielders don't run 2 miles into the outfield to catch everything. Data files also do other things, search around and try a few. First off I'd check my left analog stick and make sure its not defaulting up (causing fly balls) other than that try out a slider set and see how it works for you. and once you are comfortable with the sliders go ahead and play around with them and find a set that will work for you.
