StillFunkyB
I was messing around maybe trying to figure out how I could give Bret Boone's bat throwing signature HR to my created player. I opened up the anims.big file with EAgraph and saw these files: NHRCGUER.axt, .ord, .orl NHRCORTZ.axt, .ord, .orl NHRCPUJO.axt, .ord, .orl NHRCRAMI.axt, .ord, .orl NHRCSOSA.axt, .ord, .orl There are a couple others, but those ones are obviously Vladi, Big Papi, Pujols, and Sosa. I opened up the NHRCGUER.axt with notepad and this is what was inside: [Version 0.03] 1103890774 Dec 24 2004 04:19:34 [bank] NHRCGUER [Directory] D:/mvp2004/artwork/anims [Files] 2 c_hr_idle_01dup1 1103875610 Dec 24 2004 00:06:50 b_vguerrocelebtohomer 1103875608 Dec 24 2004 00:06:48 Well, I have no idea what that is so I was messing around with MVPedit after that and decided to assign Bret Boone's audio/portrait ID to my created player. When I did so, besides having Bret Boone's portrait, and audio, my created player did his signature HR celebration. I was happy. So what I did was basically go in and swap my created players audio/portrait ID (9995) with Bret Boone's (96). When I tried to play the game, it crashed to desktop before I even got to the CTS screen. I reverted back to the original files and it still did this, so I did a fresh uninstall/reinstall and the game is working again. I will attempt this again, and see if I can not get it to work. I wanted to post what I have done, just incase there is someone out there that might be able to figure this out from what I have done so far. StillFunkyB
Ok.... Fresh install, no mods, patch 5. Imported rosters from database folder in MVP. Saved as .mbe file in MVP edit. Renamed Bret Boone in the FA list in MVP edit to my name. Changed his height and weight, and skin tone. Changed his contact and power against both to 99 (just for testing). Saved .mbe. Closed MVPedit. Used bigGUI to import 0096.fsh into portrait.big. This .fsh is the same as the "0" portrait. All I did was extract that, and rename it. Then I used bigGUI to import my custom name audio into the appropriate files. What I did was make a copy of my custom audio files (9995.dat) and rename them to Bret Boone's ID (0096.dat). I did this with all the appropriate files. Imported, rebuilt, all that good stuff. After I did all that, I reloaded MVPedit. Checked my new "Bret Boone", and the correct portrait showed up. I proceeded to export, but it was giving me an error saying that the files were read only. So I went into windows explorer and unchecked read only on the files in the database folder. Went back into MVPedit and exported. Everything A-OK. Exited MVPedit. Loaded up the game. Starts to load just fine until it gets to the screen where it has Ichiro and says "rosters updated as of X/XX/XX" and then crashes to the desktop. Any ideas? StillFunkyB
Ok, Fixed the portrait issue. I think I figured out the audio. I guess the only way to get the signature HR's is to basically steal that players ID number, but I have not confirmed that just yet.
StillFunkyB
I have successfully edited all atributes of Bret Boone to reflect my created player. Audio, and everything. He still does the Bret Boone signature HR celebration (bat toss) Before I tried this, I tried just changing Bret Boone's stance to see if he would still do his special celebration. He did not, just a generic one. So, basically the special HR celebration animations are linked to the player ID and the stance. I just thought I would share what I did for my own C-A-P, and maybe someone else could use the info.
StillFunkyB
I also tried to switch sides of the plate, and it doesn't work so the signature HR's are also tied into that as well.
UncleMo
Thanks for posting this. I'm sure after almost of year of your thread, you conversing with yourself you felt cheesy but I appreciate the rundown on the info. Thanks.
SwinginSoriano
Use Boone's portrait ID or CF number?
el_jefe061
Use Boone's portrait ID or CF number? Can you assign homerun celebrations from one player to another? Because I think Boone, Sweeney, and others are kinda useless to me. Pretty much because Boone doesn't hit homeruns anymore... ever.
UncleMo
I believe you can, re read this entire thread on how to do it. BTW, welcome to the site.
el_jefe061
Yeah sorry I just wasn't sure if he had changed up just Bret Boone or he actually changed the home run celebration.
StillFunkyB
Yeah sorry I just wasn't sure if he had changed up just Bret Boone or he actually changed the home run celebration. Yes, I changed Bret Boone to be my created player. So because it's the player id along with the stance, then you can only have one player in the league for each signature hr. I hadn't been to this site in quite sometime. I guess nobody figured out how the animations tied in with the player id, and stance. If someone could figure that out it would make changing which player has which hr celebration easier.
