Knuckleball Lover
Here's what I notice about the pitch speed slider high vs low. High: CPU hitters swing and miss more, especially on heat. Also, if you're good with changing speeds and make good pitches, they'll be fooled more (and more badly) on their swings. Finally, -50 CPU contact makes them suck, even on all-star mode. Power is up it seems. This is about the only way I can actually get offense in my games. Between this and +40 power for both me and CPU. CPU hitters seem to swing at more out of the zone pitches. Seems like with the higher velocity they have less time to make their usually-near-perfect-unless-I-have-2-strikes-on-me strike zone judgement for the CPU. Low: CPU hitters will hit heat much better. Probably because they have more time to "see" the ball. Interesting thing is that good offspeed stuff actually is the best way to attack the hitter. Go figure. Harder to hit the ball hard it seems. Must fool with the physics model as well. A lot like BBPro. CPU hitters are tougher to get to swing at stuff out of the zone, even with low CH..I mean contact hitters. What do you guys see?
