I'm going to make a few more effect tutorials and then start on full sig tuts...I think that on of the best ways to get the newer sig makers started is to teach the basics. If you have any requests (How'd they do that?) let me know and I'll see what I can do. I found out how to do the squares by myself so I think I can whip up a few things...

I have half a full sig tutorial done and as soon as I get home I'll finish it. Also, there'll be a .zip folder...brushes and fonts within!

Here's a massive, full sig tut...link containing brushes, fonts and the .PSD of the sig in the tutorial. I'm not sure that the brushes will be compatable with lower than Photoshop CS2 , but if you search at deviantart.com, maybe you'll come across something similar. Cheers!

If one of the tutorial sections has a red x in the corner, just right click it and select "Show Image"

If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

I just use eraser and erase the background , leaving the player / car "render" coutout. There might be an easier way though but I haven't heard of it.
I don't mean it like that. I don't know how to paste the cut-out on the background.

Save the render I provided, and open it in Photoshop. Resize it and take out the "Cut-out by Serenity" part, and then:

Ctrl+A

Ctrl+C

Then, in the sig,

Ctrl+V

That should put the cutout in the sig.

I'd like to see how to make proper backgrounds other than the smoke one. I really like the clouds one but unfortunately it's the only one I can do and all my future sigs I make can't all be clouds. I see other people make these amazing robotic-themed sigs and I'd like to know how to make other backgrounds other than clouds.

PS thanks for the clouds tutorial I was inspired by it and made this carroll4ie.jpg
