bizzyth
March 15th ------------------ A new ray of light Everyone that knows baseball knows that the Orioles are a franchise in need of a turn around. After ending a season with an embarassing 52-110 record and being knocked into the cellar of the AL East by the Devil Rays (72-90), the Orioles has now gotten new ownership. The new owner is the wealthy porn industry leader Mark Melvin. "I feel I can provide the franchise with proper funds and management. This club has been run badly since the 90s. I've bought the franchise because of my love for baseball and my love for the Orioles." Melvin has already been busy. He has hired a new GM by the name of Carl Adkins. "I've known Adkins for years. He is a very competitive but resourceful leader. I have alot of faith in him for this job." Now that Melvin and Adkins are here and make the right moves, fans in Baltimore will have more to cheer about at home games other than the Boston Red Sox. bizzyth
April 3rd ------------------ Bring it on A few weeks ago, the Orioles were favored to be the 25 best team in the league. Now after a flurry of moves by GM Carl Atkins, they are favored to be one of the top 10 by many. "My plan was and still is to build a competitor for now and years to come. I have made trades for younger guys who will suceed for this team for a long time.". Atkins has made some very intriguing moves such as signing Wade Miller and trading for Ted Lilly. "I felt Wade needed another chance, everyone views his injury plauged seasons but ignore the potential he has. As for Ted, I felt the team's young pitching staff needed someone to mentor and pitch along side them." Some trades he has made brought future stars such as McGowan and Gaithright to a team that needed a boost in talent. The Orioles also have Bruce Chen closing, which is very interesting as well. "I'm not scared to try a new role. I trust Sam, he always makes great decisions". "I have always been a starter. But my love for this team and it's management will have me closing at least 40 games this year". Bizzy Bone, known as a grammy award winner with the group Bone Thugs N Harmony will have a chance to proove himself as well. After breaking away from the group, he has been doing solos and feels he wants to do even more to make money. "Yeah, yup, beautiful thang man. Praise God! Always. As a child it was a dream to play baseball. I couldn't make it man. I ended up slangin drugs an bein homeless till the music thang came bout. and I still love them brothers but this is my future. keep movin' in the name of the father, the son, the holy spirit. Amen. That's what I say - love god. That's what they need to do. Keep prayin' and things will go good" In other Oriole related news, Sammy Sosa has signed with the New York Yankees. "They didn't want to win. It was their fault my average was .221 and I hit 15 homeruns. Now that I am with a team like the Yankees I will do good"
