As far as the total monetary amount, it's highly unlikely that anywhere near 30% of the members will subscribe. Hell, barely 10% are even active, if that. If just 5% of them subscribe (bear in mind, that's just around 670 members, by my mental mathematics - and how many of you have seen 670 members on the active users list recently?), the total will be $3,350. Even if we take just the donations block as the only expenses for the site, which it's not, that's enough for just under 2 years. Add in any other expenses (such as the additional server costs, hosting price increases and inflation), and you're lucky to get 1 year out of it. Do the mathematics, people. Don't just guess. If it weren't for this site there would not be as many mods for MVP as there are. BBSC is the only other site that I can see could host and I haven't seen a mod posted there in quite sometime. Bandwidth isn't free so if you want to be part of the community then you have to contribute. Its about the 06 mod, when it is released why not host it on both this site and the total classics site. When it is hosted take the total number of registered people here (e.x 34070) and split them into 2 groups. have one group only able to download it here and the other to download it of the other site. There's a lot of things we could to about the high bandwith and I for one am all for anythign we can do. EDIT: One other thing, how would we enforce it? seanzarelli Posted August 14, 2006 Share Posted August 14, 2006 zeppelin, i'm sure that could be done, but it could **** people off who did mods and weren't considered important enough to keep on the site. i personally think all of the MVP 2004 stuff should go, but i doubt that'll happen either just because some people weren't able to pick 05 up and now with the prices it's going far don't have a shot at picking it up now.
