What happened to the bonds is god thread?

I hook up my new PC and it is gone, I was not done bitching yet

Did my computer eat it?

It did really exist right?

Exactly what I was wondering, I kinda liked ganging up on that poor soul.

It got locked and moved to the place where old threads go to die. The kid that made that thread was getting to be a little to much with his attacking of other people as he was defending Bonds.

Here's an idea.

A goto page button. Right under where it says, 1, 2, 3, 52, 53, 54 on this page. That way I can go to page 22 of the site issues thread with much less hassle.

If you don't mind, this would help me out a lot.

I suggest we view locked threads in like a hall of fame forum, i.e. you can't post but you can view insanely popular threads and/or topics that were closed for troublemakers

I'd love that, because I think everyone wants to know why a certain thread got locked and all that fun stuff.

I would like to see a seach this topic function while viewing forum posts.

That is an EXCELLENT idea. A button that would take you to the search page, with the options to search just THAT thread you linked from. Sounds possible... but I wouldn't know how easily implemented it is. I'll leave that type of pondering to Trues. :)

Actually the forums that I usually use the search this topic/thread function on just have a text box or popup box to type in your word to search that for in that particular thread. That way you are at least still in the same thread topic.

This topic is the perfect example as it is 60 pages and this idea may have come up before but most people would not bother to scan 60 pages of threads to find the answer especially if the general search was not coming up with the right topics or listed far too many with your word search. It would be nice to see it implemented if it's not too difficult.

No problem. 256KB does seem a little small, actually. I've let Trues know anyway, I'm sure he'll take a look when he gets a chance.

Trues, do you ever test stuff locally? I wrote a tutorial on how to setup WAMP on Windows - you can use MySQL databases and stuff without uploading files to a server. It might be a bit easier than testing everything on a server. I have both vBulletin and IPB running on my Mac with MAMP (mac version of WAMP) to do some theme work, so it is possible to do so. Just wondering.

Oh yeah, a local server (for testing) is a must.

Why do you guys move most locked threads off the never never land?

Leaving them for all to see might stop others from posting similar threads

True, and on many occasions I agree. But that one was just headed in a bad direction. Plus you used a grown-up word. :) lol.

I can see your point, and it's probably something we should give some consideration too. Some just need to be moved though, rather then leaving them out in the open forums to start a flame war or something.
