Trues, just wondering if you could modify the search feature. Right now, when I search based on an author's name, the results provide threads where that particular author has posted in (it doesn't seem to matter if he had created that thread or not).

Wondering if you could do something where there is an option to search for authors and display only the threads that they created. For instance, if I search for "tywiggins", I would like to see just the threads that he created and not all the threads that he has posted in. Wondering if something like this could be implemented. Thank you and take care.

Well I know on one forum site where I'm a member, they have a section called "All Time Greatest Threads" and its more like, the threads that got people banned. I say that you do that here, but with other threads, such as the ones that are just stupid, but not banning worthy. Some of them have got to be pretty hilarious :D and as philliesphan said, lets vote on them at the end of the year for silliest thread of the year :p

RonMexico, that's a good idea.

That would be very nice.

Wow! I like that. And to think I was just being sarcastic when I mentioned it earlier.

Ummm... I don't think we should be rewarding members for dumbass posts by giving them some more time in the spotlight. We all would like to cut back on the threads that need to be locked and moved. If we start to promote these threads by voting on them I think we're headed in the wrong direction.

Why not vote for the most useful thread instead?

Again, common sense and reason is what my friend carter is about. He's right, no way around it.

I like the new banner. The ad on the outfield wall concept is cool.

...I was worried I was the only one that was going to pick up on that.

Dunno if it's possible - but another cool idea would be to randomize it so that it cycled b/w "replicas" of ACTUAL outfield walls from MLB parks. :)

Now that is awesome. Just think... "MVP Mods" on Ivy, on the Green Monster, on Brick, etc... That would be very neat.

Yes, it's possible and I love the idea. :chin:

Of course I already have an ivy version running on my local server.

Just as a suggestion - you might try to work in the "Retired #'s" portion of the LF wall from Busch as well

EDIT: or - you could set it so that when a user signs up, they select their "favorite team" - and then THAT outfield wall is what appears as their banner.... eh... now that I think about it - random is better :)

I like the Retired #s part, but if you were to do the user select feature, wouldn't that take up a lot of memory?

Trues, a couple of weeks ago when I tried to quote one of kraw's posts, I accidently clicked the ignore button instead. It seems like every day, I have to click the 'show ignored post' link to show his posts. Shouldn't I only have to do it once?

I removed it from the database. Let me know if it works for you now.

This seems to be happening more and more frequently: I click on a topic, and when it comes to the page it suddenly says, "abc006 gives thanks to this topic" or whatever, when I never clicked the thank topic button - I'm sure this has happened at least 2 or 3 times... :? It's not really a big deal, but I don't necessarily want to give thanks for a topic I don't want to give thanks to...
