RAM
personally i would go w/ the saitek p880. i myself among MANY others have used the logitech and it really bites (check the logitech forums at their site) because it lasts like 2 months before the anolog sticks freak out. the p880 works great and has had no probs whatsoever (and it's the same price as the logitech). other users here will attest to that as well. u may have to adjust the right stick calibration (properties listed in another thread here at mvpmods.com) in the games controller cfg file. but that takes like 30 seconds. others here also use their ps2 controlers with a usb adapter, but i don't own any consoles so i have no recommendations on that. go w/ the p880. The Big Unit
MANY others have used the logitech and it really bites (check the logitech forums at their site) because it lasts like 2 months before the anolog sticks freak out. When you say "freak out" what do you mean exactly? I have a PS2 controller and love it and think it's by far the best there is and I set my computer up to think it has a Logitech and it's been just fine for years, but lately it's been doing something once in a great while that I'm wondering about. I won't say what it is because I want to hear what you're talking about when you say the analog "freaks out" and I want to see if you say the same thing mine does maybe once a week. (I play many times daily)

Jim825
Nope. No vibration on the P880 (but still a great controller!).
edm
I've used the Eliminator Aftershock and the P880. I would avoid the Eliminator Aftershock, it's a nice controller, but navigating the manager menu's in MVP with the D-pad is very frustrating. I also had a problem with losing calibration every hour or so of gameplay. The P880 on the other hand, even though it has no vibration has been great. btw, I'm pretty sure rambully is referring to the left analog stick on the Logitech Dual Action becoming flaky after minimal use, say 20-30 hours of gameplay. If you check some of the reviews over at amazon or circuit city you'll see a lot of reports about it. That's the main reason I went with the P880 over the Logitech Dual Action
The Big Unit
btw, I'm pretty sure The Big Unit is referring to the left analog stick on the Logitech Dual Action becoming flaky after minimal use I am talking about the left stick, but I've gotten 1,000's and 1,000's of hours out of this thing. It's just started doing something maybe once a week but was looking to see what those other guys are saying theirs did. Actually I couoldn't be happier with my controller but again, curious to see what on the left stick others say went haywire for them.
RsCamaro8
anything as long as it does not say "logitech" on the front of the controller... this thing is just a headache, i've been needed to replace it for a few months now :banghead:
Stunners
I got the Dual Action, and it just started to "ferak out" on me. First went the Left Analgo and within a day the Right one. The game is not playable. The controller constantly thinks I am pushing to the right, causing my guys to run the wrong, and to constantly dive for the ball. Though, to be honest, the real life Mets defense this year hasn't looked much better. I am going to NY this week and will hopefully get the Saitek. I hope the EB store my brother bought the Logitech from will take it back.
The Great Nad
PS2 with usb converter. Not had one problem with it yet and it's just fuckin gravy. LOGITECH BLOWS!!!!! I will never buy another piece of hardware from them. nad
yankees1979
does the vibration work with ps2 dualaction?
KenDammit
PSX-USB adapter i'm not sure if this works with a PS2 controller, but it definitely works with PS1 controllers. Everything works, everything is fine..i haven't had any problems. I figured why spend money to buy a controller when I can spend 10 and use this controller that I'll never touch again, otherwise Best controller I've ever used, too. RAM
SI VIBRATO!!! PS2 has the vibrator built in so you can have pleasure while playing the video games ok i won't even touch that one lol! bigunit ... sorry work schedule crazy. yes the logitech left stick stops responding basically. it happens differently for others. in my case the stick would not "push" to the right and sometimes the ball icon would shake like i was on speed. what i mean is. lets say i wanted to pitch outside to a righty, the ball icon for pitch placement would just stick in the middle (and sometimes just shake like crazy). the same for batting as well. at first i could fix it for a while by unplugging and replugging the pad. then it was like every pitch or at bat. i don't know if u just using the config file would have that effect as i think it is the hardware (logitech) that sucks itself. as far as logitech goes i love their keyboards and pc speakers (that's why i chose their gamepad first and foremost) but their gamepads SSUUUUUUCK! other users do say that their logitech pad is great but they are few and far between. i had read elsewhere there was a problem with the first "batch" of controllers and logitech reissued them with better results, the reissues have a different serial number. so if anyone INSISTS on having this p.o.s. check the logitech forums for more info. IMO the saitek is superior by far, it even feels more "hefty" and well made than the flimsy logitech. the other problem that BOTH pads have ( minor complaint but irritating nonetheless) is that they both have these rubber pads on top of the analog sticks, that detiorate after a while by splitting at the seams.
