slugger
I have a tendency to score 3-4 runs in the first half of the game and do nothing the middle and if I'm losing..I desperately try to score at the end. As for pitching... I either tend to give up a bunch of runs at the beginning of the game or the middle of the game. I think I have to manage my pitching better. I think I may tend to leave the starters out too long. Only Scott Olson has a stamina rating over 70.
Viceman2004
Oh thats a young team you got there. Should be interesting to see how your team progesses in 2006/2007/2008. -VC

slugger
I made a bunch of other trades.. I traded Jared Weaver, but I didn't like the way that he pitches, he doesn't have much control. Even though Eric Reed leads my team in steals..I traded him because the only way that I can get him on base is..when he bunts and it's kind of hard to bunt in this game and all the close calls are out(!!!!!) I traded Jared Weaver, Eric Reed, Brian Bass for Jeff Niemann, Jason Hammel, Joey Gathright. Because even though my team isn't like the real MLB...I like to keep it close to it..so I traded Brian Bass and Jared Weaver back to their real teams for the pitchers that I traded to their teams(if that makes any sense). Everything is the same except.. Adam Stern moved to RF Joey Gathright is the new CF Reggie and Danny...platoon I called up Ian Stewart to be the backup because Scott Duncan struggled... I sent down Anibal Sanchez(again) because I can't really pitch with him that well..giving up 2-3 homers a game. I called up Thomas Diamond(replaces Weaver) and Hayden Penn(replaces Sanchez) I traded Mike Gonzalez for Jason Grabow..because he was on the trading block and Gonzalez wasn't doing well. I'm 48 - 50 right now.. I'm tired of playing the Mets and Phillies...so I managed those games. Bobby Abreu, Tony Clark and Pedro Feliz have killed me... TheNateGBent
I'm the Florida Marlins. Playing MVP Level Got Brian Roberts/Hayden Penn for Pokey Reese/Jayson Nix(I got from Colorado for Josh Wilson)/Paul Malholm(who I got for Ricky Nolasco) Wow... Peter Angelos must have been drinking when he made that trade! Future ace and all star second baseman for backup shortstop (backup to someone who is the active consecutive game leader) and a decent prospect
slugger
Well, if this helps any... I forgot to mention that I traded Jeremy Hermedia, Travis Bowyer to them for Nick Markakis. I traded both of those guys because I wasn't able to use them well. Hermedia rarely got on base and Bowyer's fastball was straight... Didn't include it because Markakis won't be on my major league roster for maybe 1-2 years. I was able to sign Jason Pridie, Kurt Suzuki, Tripper Johnson because they were in the free agent market lol...
slugger
As you can see..I can't hit homers for crap. I rely on base stealing..since All my OFs have speed 90 or over. Hanley, Brian and Damian too. Most of Brian Roberts stats are from Baltimore. Some of Miguel Olivo stats were from the SDP, I didn't figure out that he was on the real Marlins until game 45 or so. Hanley Ramirez and Joey Votto were injured for significant lengths of time Eric Reed, Pokey Reese and Garret Atkins played a lot in the beginning...they are no longer on the team. Dontrelle Willis' and Anibal Sanchez's stats were majority from my team, but I didnt se the point of putting them up. All except for one game, Hayden Penn's stats were from the Orioles(he was a reliever) Only Leo Estrella and John Riedling's stats are from Day One. I got Jose around the 30-50th game... 7 of his wins came from the Brewers. John Riedling and Brian Roberts were selected to the AllStar Game. slugger
Yeah well Fair trades is on, so it's not my fault. Thomas Diamond didn't really pitch well in his debut. He gave up three homers in one inning. Last three innings and Chris Baker picked up the rest of that game. I called up Jeff Niemann to replace Thomas Diamond... Reynel Pinto got injured..so I recalled Anibal Sanchez...hopefully, I can figure out a way for him not to have two terrible innings per game. Jeff Niemann pitched pretty well in his debut.. Pitched 5 innings, gave up 4 hits and one run and struck out two. GOt the win. My record is 49 - 52 right now.(a guess, i'm too lazy to check) It's July 30th in the game, I doubt that I will make the playoffs. I'm 7 games back of the wild card, 8 games back of the division. So I decided to trade John Riedling to Toronto for Jason Frasor. Frasor will be my setup man for the remainder of the season. I will let him go in the offseason, he's demanding 1.8mill a year for 3 years. Jose Capellan, who is a better pitcher and makes less then Frasor...will be the closer for the time being and the near future. Hopefully..Randy Messenger is developing well to become my setupman, next season. I don't really pay much attention to my minor league clubs, as I should. Josh Willingham and Miguel Olivo duo aren't doing that great. If there is a 4-5 Star Catcher in the free agent market..next season. I'm going to attempt to sign him for 2-3 years for around 4-5 million a season. Hopefully, Ryan Jorgensen develops really well. Or I will probably pick a catcher in the first round of next year's draft or a player that has immediate power hitting impact. At the rate of way that I'm going. I will probably draft around the 10-15 selection gaaaaaaaaaaaah Joey Gathright got injured for 17 days.. As a result, Danny PutnamLF, Adam SternCF and ReggieRF are going to be playing full time. I'm debating whether or not of trading Brian Roberts..."tomorrow" He has a decent average, but playing on this team...his average has dropped to 222 and his OBP, SLG are really low. Only his steals are higher.
