DirkOwnsAll
I've looked all over the boards and can't find anything on this. I did a re-install at one point, which is why I figured my PC was having problems with the mvp.exe file. After re-install, everything was running fine. I tuned some of the video options to get the most out of my machine including: Reflections off Stadiums Low res Players Medium Res Crowd Low Res I'm STILL getting the slight stuttering when throwing from the outfield or across the diamond, which isn't a game killer by any means, simply a little bit of an annoyance. The problem I am having, is when a game is completed or even if I try to quit mid-game, I get a crash. It doesn't happen every time, but maybe only 50/50. I did a dxdiag check through DOS hoping someone could give me some info, or if there is a better way to run the game instead of through windows. Is it even possible to run ANYTHING through DOS anymore and get decent results? At any rate, my specs are below. Any help is greatly appreciated. Microsoft XP Professional 5.1 Build 2600 Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz 1014 RAM Direct X 9.0 C Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset (Card?) w/ 128 MB of RAM Now, my current display mode is 1028 x 768 which I think in MVP my settings are slightly different. Could that matter?
gcurrier2004
did you download the patch from EA?
DirkOwnsAll
I might need to be slapped for being a newbie...to this board and to PC games in general...but no. I didn't. Does that address the stuttering, or the crash? Also, according to my specs, should I have to turn everything to such a low-resolution to enjoy my game? Wasn't sure if my specs were on the lower or upper end. Thanks again!

DirkOwnsAll
Okay...Re-installed the game with the patch. The ball jitters are fixed, but I'm still getting the crash. No in-game problems at all. My graphics drivers are up to date, made sure I ended processes to free up resources, etc. Any ideas???? If someone could tell me what processes actually NEED to be running, it would be a little easier. I'm stumped.
GMF
I don't know if it helps you but having the stadiums in low resolution is causing crashing problems to me. In high resolution there are no problems. Also without uniforms add on there is no stuttering for me even at 85 Hhz...
DirkOwnsAll
I think it would bother me a bit less because my problem could be more specific if it crashed EVERY time I ended a game or finished one. It's the fact that it is so sporadic. I have to cringe every time I complete a game hoping the thing doesn't crash on me. I'm really hoping this doesn't send me back to playing MVP on console. I like it much more on PC...but if it won't work...then I can't play. :(

DirkOwnsAll
I am currently using the Rockies in Owner mode. Here are the mods I currently have installed: Ultimate Rosters 4.01 ESPN 2006 Overlay Mod (Although I just installed that - it was crashing before this) EA Official Patch #3 2006 Schedule Mod Player Progression Mod V3 On the Roster Mod, I actually re-installed MVP and did NOT re-install that mod. I figured it may be the problem I was having. One thing I was thinking is that if I did the re-install and didn't delete EVERYTHING MVP from my PC, but I would have bet money I did. Any known problems with what I have installed?
DirkOwnsAll
I've been going over the boards and realized that a few people had the same problem with cracked versions of the game. Just wanted to say that mine is NOT cracked. Bought it at Gamestop for $29.99. :)
