schitonk
wow i havent posted here in quite some time, nor have i played mvp05 in a while. anyway, got a new 22" crt and when I try to play i get the infamous sped up affect, even though my refresh is set to 60hz and vsync is on. I actually did upgrade my ram as well so my system has gained some speed. tried new drivers, old drivers and still nothing. system is xp 2400, ati 9600XT, 1GB crucial XMS pc3200 DDR @ 2700, and NEC fe2111SB monitor. i'm also using ati tray tool w/latest ati display driver cause the new cats dont come with the control panel and i cant stand catalyst control center. i've also searched for the last half hour and didn't come up with a solution that worked. schitonk
sorted. fyi, in ati tray tools, direct3d, refreshrate override, custom: set to 60hz. this now means anytime you run a direct3d app/game your refresh will always revert to that custom one. also forced vsync always on in direct3d

schitonk
why? it works fine at 60hz.
klon122
I made a game profile for MVP 2005 only so that it's 60hz refresh rate for MVP game only. I play other games where 60hz would create tearing, so I made a separate profile for MVP with different settings than other games and ATI Tray Tools did the job. But hey, if you're happy, who am I to argue?
