EnglishDBacker
Hi guys, long time no visit. I posted many months ago about some problems i was having with my computer whenever i installed a gamepad of any sorts. Well, its coming back again. Ive been using my computer freely for the last 6 months or so, without any problems. I decided to plug in my gamepad yesterday just to see if the problems still were there, and voila yes they are. The pad installs ok, all works nicely and that, but when i restart my computer it takes twice as long as before, and the blue chkdsk screen always come up citing my disks need checking for consistency. Any idea why my gamepad could be causing any such issues? Its definitely that as its the only change ive made to my computer in the last month.. Cheers guys :)
Emil
What kind of gamepad do you have?
EnglishDBacker
Ive tried it with all 3. Tried a saitek p880, Logiturd duel action and a station2 converter, all the same result.

EnglishDBacker
I know, it just crashes regardless of what pad i use and whether i install anything or not. I had a crash moments ago where windows basically crapped out, blue screen of death, "recovered from a serious error". Now the gamepad has uninstalled because windows appears to blame that. I have an entry in my device manager with an exclamation point through it called "C-Media AC97 Audio Device", back in the days when my pads wrked this never had an exclamation mark through it, i dont even know what it does. EnglishDBacker
It doesnt work for any of my pads. When i plug them in it configures it automatically, then the problem i stated starts to occur, and windows recovers from a serious error, going backover and uninstalling my pad.
