Hi brtalley, I'm from Europe and I have just started an online League for MVP 2005. Our first idea was to play an only for europeans league, we have had in the past some bad experiences with guys from USA (in particular different timing zones).

But we have thought we could play with two Leagues, one for USA players and one for Europeans players, 2 divisions for each league if there are enough players who want to join us.

We are looking for mature and fair players who can play all their scheduled games (we have severe rules about it), btw you can take a look to our 'league's philosophy' and Rules visiting our Home .

See you on our fields !!! :D

I'm glad you appreciated it ! I hope we can start Season 1 as soon as possible, we are about ten europeans players ready to the challenge with USA Dream Team

Ciao a tutti

P.S. Obviously if someone else from Europe wants to join, he's welcome!

all i have to say is...wow. you guys really did your homework with this league. it looks unreal! is this the first sesason you guys have done? in all honesty, it looks like a ton of fun...the rules will take some time to learn and get used to, but i think their good. 3 games a week might be hard to do...especially with all the extra work of filling out stats and whatnot...but maybe if you do them back to back to back or something. but i like the idea of playing a series a week.

are you thinking of adding the us teams to the eur league or starting a us league? i wasnt sure about that. also, i need to play a tester game with someone...cause i've actually never played online and there are a few things i dont understand about it such as rosters used, datafiles used, camera angles and so forth.

when would this season start? after the full release of 06? and everyone would use the basic 06 with no extra mods?

ps. if all this works out...I CALL BRAVES!

i'm excited about

Hi brtalley! In order:

1. first season in the new website, 3rd overall

2. I can only tell that to play 3 games (also back to back to back if players agree) in six days isn't a so difficut task (30-45 minutes for game), put in your stats needs 15 minutes after you completed the game.

3. We'll have two Leagues, USA and Europe, with 2 'sub-leagues' each as in MLB (DH and no DH).

4. Now someone of us are using beta mvp06 but it's not obligatory to have a mod installed. Of course datafile and rosters are the same for all players.

5. Atlanta Braves, sorry bro but their manager, an old man from Netherlands named Rene', wouldn't approve to leave them to other hands

THAT'S IMPORTANT: you need an MSN account to partecipate and need to be registered in our Forum. All your questions and doubts, please, post there!

Braves GM is our public relations man and will give you any answer you want.

Ciao, see you...

Hey brtalley,

if you want to be in a league bad enough, you will find that playing 3 games a week and doing the homework involved isn't that big of a deal. But before you decide to join, be really, really sure you can spare about 4 to 5 hours a week for holding up your end of the bargain.

The reasons we're looking at separate leagues for US players and European players are mainly logistics. In the past we've had some difficulties getting guys from the different time zones together to play their games, and getting 3 games a week out of the way was just too much of a hassle. That shouldn't be the case if we let the leagues play their own schedules. The only US-Europe encounter would of course be the World Series.

Anyway, think it over based on what you know now and read on our homepage, and if you decide you want in just go to the forum and let us know. Also check the available teams before choosing yours (for this league, I'm the heir apparent to the Braves dynasty, hope you don't mind too much :? )

O, Buffa told you I'm an old geezer from Holland, all I can say about that is I'm younger then Julio Franco :D:D .

hey guys...thanks for the quick responses and everything. do you mind if i pass this info on to other americans who are interested? and a quick question about the team situation...and this is just an observation, maybe i just dont understand the two league thing...but if there are two completely different leagues...why couldnt i be the braves? from what i understand, each league will have an american and a national division...or would it be (instead of american and national) more like us and europe? let me know about that...cause i really love the braves:)

also...when would the league start? when 06 is officially released or before that?

Ciao brtalley,

two different leagues, one management and one exciting World Series between Babe Ruth League (USA) winner and Hank Aaron League (Europe) winner. For this reason we have to play with different teams (we are also studying an Interleague series option) and obviously we'll have an All Star Week (best players from either B.Ruth either H.Aaron).

From now, please, post all your comments and questions on the MVP Europe Forum. There you can see the list of still available teams and more we ask GMs to be involved in our league talkings :)

Season 1 will start when at least 8 players from USA will join, at the moment we have the Yankees manager!

See you and your friends on the League forum!

P.S. A little pray to Yankee4life: could you link our url somewhere in Mvpmods?

Thx you

After a game in your league, where do you find the stats. Do you just write them down or is it locked in some file?

I'm talking about Latin-American MVP league.

esteban...your registration numbers should be on the back of the cd case. if you've come across your game...in less than legal ways or its a hand me down or whatever and you dont have the case...i'm not sure what to do. call ea?

and emil...in the league you are supposed to take snapshots of the stat screen, then you are responsible for filling out a datasheet on a stats website. apparently this takes about 15 or so for all 3 games.
