JoeRudi26
To answer your first question, which mods are you trying to download? Second, if you list your computer specs, we could definately help you out better.

mrmariner
I read in a mag along time ago that Dell computers are not that easy to upgrade. Somehow the way they are put together they will only accept original Dell products or there vendors brand. I really don't know if it is true or not? Has anyone had a problem upgrading a Dell? keep us posted on your progress. I have built 3 from the case up and never had a problem, never bought a factory setup. I have built 3 from the case up and never had a problem, never bought a factory setup. there are certain parts of a Dell that are proprietory and more difficult to upgrade, but a graphics card shouldn't fall within that category. It's a matter of swapping that out and getting the best drivers. I personally use omega drivers for my Dell's ATI 9700 pro, and on my Gateway's Nvidia fx5950 ultra I use xg extreme modded drivers. But that's my personal preference. But NJPapi1977, don't worry, with all the brain power around here we'll hopefully get you up and running. APR
Before I custom built my new rig a week ago, I ran with a regular Dell...ack! The power supply was not upgradeable to anything other than a 250W, and the mobo had no PCIx16 slots at all...double ack! Since you have a dell it is very likely that you are in abundance of AGP slots. With that said, you will need to get an AGP card. If you are planning on gaming more frequently, say with FPS's, then get something cheap for right now, something to "hold you over". If you are not planning on becoming a hardcore gamer, look for AGP of course, maybe something in the 6600GT range, as you can find those hovering around $100. JoeRudi26
APR is right. Your system looks ok enough to run the game, but as I said earlier it is probably a graphics card issue. His advice on the 6600GT is right on the money. Just make sure you get the right "bus" input. PCI Express AGP PCI (possible, but not likely) http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_6600.html

Cash #25
I've been running a Dell 4600 for a couple years now and my system setup looks very similar to yours. I have 768 MB of RAM, though. As soon as I unpacked this thing, I swapped my Radeon 9200 AGP video card into it and it's worked fine for me. I've played MVP 04 and 05 without problems, and also Madden 06, all settings on high. I realize the 9200 is an older card, but just wanted to throw this into the discussion. It does do the job. For me. And yeah, you pick up some of these mods and you can play this game forever. I'm already playing an updated 2006 dynasty.

Jim825
I too have a Dell 4600. I bought it with 512 Meg of RAM, but upgraded to 1 Gb about 4 months ago. I went to www.crucial.com, used their memory "configurator" and got the proper RAM for this PC. I also swapped out the Nvidia 5200 FX that came with the PC with an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro about a year ago. This isn't a top of the line card, but I've been very happy with the graphics quality. I think you can get a 9600 Pro for about $69 now. Besides MVP, I play games like Medal of Honor and Call of Duty and have been happy with the graphics I get. All AGP 8x/4x Video cards at $120 and down. Unlike CompUSA, most of the prices there do not require mail-in rebates! So go NewEgg, my good man...Newegg! eber
Looking at your system, my advice is to get a cheaper card and a stick of ram for the $79.99 you'd plan to spend at Worst Buy.
