Slikkrikk and Mike should tell me if they currently use any of my generic faces I've done and if not, then what you want to do is take g001.fsh from your default models.big file and put it in your current one so that the ref stays the same. That one I did a long time ago should not beused as that looks like crap a little bit. I don't even use it, if that tells you anything.

I use other ones.

When will we see this whole package broken down so that we could download individual needs?

You can download just about every piece of this update in the download section since this is a compilation of all the best mods that been uploaded since the release of MVP 2005.

Yes, I would love to see some of those generic faces (glasses) gone.

I agree. The glasses are hideous. Also, some of the generic faces don't actually have the same appearance (facial-hair wise) as their little fake portrait. That's not a big deal at all, but possibly worth mentioning.

But, just to recap, I do totally agree that the glasses seem out of place. Not very many players wear them, and when they are in the generic faces, they end up showing up on a TON of players. Plus, they don't really look that good either. but oh well...

...this MOD is still incredible. I have more RAM coming from UPS soon... since the fixes recommended in this thread didn't actually effect the stuttering issue. I guess the fact that they upped the resolution so much on everything (stadium textures, uniforms, etc) makes it just too taxing for my machine, whereas the original textures were okay. I hope upping my ram from 512mb to 1gb will help.

I fixed the stuttering problem.

When I first downloaded the '06 Mod I noticed the stuttering between pitches and on the throws across the infield. I tried lowering the resolution from 1024 to 800 with no luck. I also turned off the helmet reflections and that didn't work either.

After installing Kraw's new datafile (excellent cameras...all of them) I changed the display on my monitor to 1600x1024 and I upped the resolution in the game to 1280x1024x32. Problem solved! Not only is the stuttering gone, the game looks better. Oh and I turned the helmet reflections back on. Can anyone offer an explaination for this?

My specs:

1.7ghz Processor

512MB RAM

128MB GeForce FX 5200

Windows XP

Kraw, I am currently in discussions with rossmac and daflyboys about creating more generic faces options. The ideas should be amazing. I won't reveal them in this thread, just know I'm working on somethin'.

hey guys, i'd just like to say that this MOD is amazing.

unbelievable stuff, i really like the new score overlay and the batters names with the red bar at the top.

the yellow rings with the shadow for the infielders looks quality as well, not to mention all the stadiums and different music as well.

this list could go on and on and on...so i'll cut it short, amzing stuff and if the final version is only 1% better than this beta i'll be stunned because atm it seems perfect.

All I did with the outfielders was move them back

Let me get this straight, you want credit because you posted someone ELSES datafile tweeks in your readme file?

it was Spitoon's tweek, correct?

and to be honest those outfield tweeks will not be in the final version, the ball drops in front of the fielder far too much

No, I don't want credit for the tweak. You're absolutely correct -- it's Spitoon's tweak. In fact, ALL of the tweaks in my combo datafile were created by others (Spitoon, Trues, SerialMike, etc.). I just combined them together after getting their permission.

I just thought it was ironic that the text I wrote in my readme file was used. When this mod first came out and I saw the datafile that was used, I thought it was mine, until I saw that a few things were different. For example, my datafile removes the batter walkup music and foul ball replays and doesn't use K.S.M.'s cameras -- everything else is the same as this datafile.....

hey guys, after playing 2 games *yes i know its only 2* but ive noticed the CPU always swings at the first pitch if it's in the zone, up until 5 odd innings.

it's not LITERALLY every 1st pitch but if you go in the zone they swing at everything, i felt as though i needed to intenionally piotch a ball to get the counts up.

in 2 games i've had 1 full count, this is the point im getting at. the CPU isn't a fan of taking pitches it seems.

i'm getting tons of ground outs and fly outs on 1-0, 0-1, 1-1 each AB doesn't last very long when i pitch to the CPU.

other than that, i found that hitting singles on the floor is still a problem. With contact guys i find that if i aim for the homer i.e top right/top left im able to pop the ball over the 1st/3rd baseman for a single.

if i aim bottom right/left the swing i want to perform and get the ball past the infield but it always gets swallowed up. thing is when its the power guys up i end up hitting the ball yard, when all i want is a base hit lol but as i mentioned before the down and directional swings hardly ever get through.

it seems as though i play with 3 directions....top right/top left/stright up middle.

it could just be me, but does anyone else have these problems?

Vinny, I haven't noticed that at all and I've played a few. Try playing some more games.

8ball - isn't that what power guys are supposed to do. ;) You could adjust your own sliders -- maybe youre just really good?

I have these settings and my game is still stuttering pretty badly. I currently have 512mb of memory but I am getting a 1gb stick delivered sometime this week.....I am hoping that alleviates the stuttering problem.

I tried this fix as well... it actually seemed to make it a bit worse. I have similar stats to patsfan. I am also having RAM sent to me this week. I guess we'll all see what happens. I sure hope this fixes the problem - this mod is simply amazing and it would be a real shame if I had to stick with my older MODs just cuz this upgrade somehow pushed the requirements past my computer's ability.

I have the feeling that alot of people suffer stuttering because a large majority of the mods (portraits, stadiums, faces) are all in 2x which take alot of memory. 1gig RAM will hopefully fix the problem for you guys. Goodluck with that.
