Big M1ke
I just upgraded from 512 megs DDR to 1 gig DDR and nothing has changed btw! I have a p4 2.9gh with a RADEON 9600 256 meg.
capa
I have the feeling that alot of people suffer stuttering because a large majority of the mods (portraits, stadiums, faces) are all in 2x which take alot of memory. 1gig RAM will hopefully fix the problem for you guys. Goodluck with that. You are correct. I have 512mb DDR and my system crashes as soon as the game tries to go to the stadium to start the game. I have 92% resources free, no TSR's running in background, etc. My system just can't handle it, and I think it is due to the unis and modded stadiums. TC4 plays fine, but the updates for this great mod blew me out of the water system-wise... C
vinnycast27
just to add to my post about the game play, i found a solution....ALL STAR and not PRO. for some reason the games sorted it self out on ALL STAR although it will take time getting used to the HR'S off every bad pitch 8O

It would crash everytime I chose the stadium. I went in and replaced every modded file one by one to find the offending files.....I discovered that, at least on my machine, FIELDS.BIG was causing the game to crash. This file is located in /FRONTEND. I replaced this file with the original one off the game disc, and the mod now plays, although I still have the stuttering problem to deal with. This may be the case with you, since it sounds like the same thing that happened to me is happening to you....just an FYI for ya!
UncleMo
Great work. Can someone else please confirm this? So we cand duplicate the issue...

Unfortunately, I still crash after the staus bar completes after selecting stadium. Get the DDHelp error. I installed the LLversion. I tried the ILF version but it kept telling me I wasn't pointing to my MVP2005 dir even though it was. Tried it 3 times. Oh well...this is frustrating but it must be machine specific... slikkrikk
Kraw -- FYI, over in the Issues thread there seems to be a big issue -- there are several pitchers with changeups clocking at 89 MPH.
Big M1ke
I just played 2 games (and I had alot of fun btw!) and I noticed some problems with the cyberfaces.. I'm aware that someone already mentionned that but just in case, both OAK Mark Ellis and WAS Zimmerman faces were kinda ugly (just like the umpires with the glasses) so I guess they are using generic faces and WAS Brian Schneider was not very similar to his real face. Hory
Kraw -- FYI, over in the Issues thread there seems to be a big issue -- there are several pitchers with changeups clocking at 89 MPH. For roster related issues post changes/corrections or whatever in the ultimate roster thread... http://mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Forums&f...iewtopic&t=5874 Naming the actual players would also be helpful too

capa
BTW if you have bad ram in you PC, no way in hell with the ILF version work for you The RAM in my machine is fine. Never an issue for anything else. Good thing the LL version works...not that it matters as something is crashing the system at the start of the game. Trying to isolate whch .big file it is... friar
Just looked around and I can't find any info on this, so... Which EA patch do you need installed to run the 06 mod? My copy of MVP 05 will arrive tomorrow, and I'm trying to eliminate any problems with installing the 06 mod before it gets here. Looking forward to playing this, guys - it looks freaking awesome. Looking through the old thread, I saw people talk about patches 3 and 4, but never saw a definite answer. Any guidance is appreciated. -FRIAR
