Is there a good chance the final will come out before opening day?

also I posted this in a new topic by accident..sorry... will any of the mods

on the site be needed in addition to the final? or will it be 100% modded

up to date? If you will. Except obviously opening day rosters....

I am in my second season in my dynasty using the 06 mod and i was wondering if their was any way that changeup speeds could be capped below a pitchers fastball speed. i see some pitchers with faster changeups than there fastballs. It is just kind of strange.

Totte, Kraw, I'm not totally committed to doing this, but do you guys want more facial hairs, like having sideburns added to existing hair styles:

(These are from NCAA)

ps. Let me know. After doing the generic faces I've found a semi easy way to take things off of faces and put them in the game.

Hey Mo,

Those shots look really cool. I could easily settle for those two models in our next update.

Thanks for the hard work!

Oh, hey, those models won't be in there. Issues abounded where the facial skin tone did not match the skin tones of the mvp 05.

1. I did submit 15 total faces to Kraw, with my UROCK mod.

See this:

http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...p=220052#220052

for a few print screens, but not all faces are displayed there.

Basically, the generic faces are done and submitted to Kraw.

2. Kraw knows that I won't get mad, however if he chooses not to use a face and decided to use an NCAA face and bring over the skin tone from NCAA if he'd rather do that. I did all 6 generic faces from NCAA, imported them into the game and almost puked. The faces, in game, look too powdery compared to MVP 05 graphics. The ncaa faces look like they are wearing makeup as if they are about to go on TV for a show or interview.

If you guys want the sideburns taken off of these 2 pictures and put into hair styles for 2006 TC, let me know.-Mo

Wait, did you mean the hair or actual faces?

One of the first things that jumped out at me was John Rodriguez. He's a backup outfielder on the major league St. Louis Cardinals. (Well, I guess he's technically competing for a starting job this spring). His face is, I THINK, a generic hispanic face - not an actual CyberFace for him specifically. In any event - his face is alright but for some reason he has the arms (skin tone) of a rather pale white guy. lol. It's pretty hideous. Now that I'm thinking about this a bit more clearly - I realize this issue isn't really related to what UncleMo was referring to - but it at least provided me a point at which to bring it up.

You can't edit skin tone in-game on a pre-created player, and I figured it would be easier to deal with this issue before the release of the final '06 (whenever that is) than have people who were bothered by it have to edit the roster with MVPedit themselves. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, but the guy is almost certainly gonna be on the MLB roster, if not a starter.

Anyway - thanks.

I meant the sideburns and the hair, not the actual faces. I'm satisfied with the current generic faces.

Thanks for the heads-up. It has now been corrected for further UR-versions.

There's one other thing that has bothered me for a long time with the UR rosters... Bo Hart (AAA second baseman for Cardinals) is a right-handed hitter. He briefly experimented with switch hitting but it failed. Also, he should technically be a free agent now, since he is not with the Cards any longer and is also just a non-roster invitee to some club some place... lol.

I think I should stop talking now, since this isn't really the right thread for this.

Actually, in the new UR 5.2, Bo Hart has already been moved from STL-AAA to COL-AAA. I'll change his batting preference to right handed. Thanks

This community is awesome. I once contributed a roster mod of my own. But the work you guys do is on par with the gaming companies and I'm sure EA Sports would be proud. If it's not any trouble, I have got a few questions/requests before you release a finshed upgrade by opening day.

Is there any way you can mod higher more panoramic camera angles? Ground level is cool for hands on play. But GM or Managerial modes beg for a birdseye view above the action from the press box or in a nose bleed seat in the stands. Is this possible? It would give the game a whole new perspective and also show off the stadium graphics that much better.

Also, since the modern game has been marred by juicing of bats, balls and bodies, you might wanna consider all time rosters that reflect baseball history. There are 10 decades plus of player stat data to draw from. If modders could render 3 historical dream teams per decade it would add up to a 30 ballclub dream team league not offered in other video games.

I'd volunteer for this endeavor and could offer my old Tony La Russa dream team stat data as a template. I'd like to help with this project and would be glad to make a donation on top of it if my ideas are implimented.
