Pirate Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 In case some of us have forgotten the Gulf Coast is still in ruins following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. It is as if we have forgotten that thousands lost their lives and millions are still without homes. Help is still needed in the region. Yes, progress is being made, but in some areas of Mississippi nothing has changed. Two local residents from where I work in the Northwest Valley near Phoenix just returned from the ravaged area. Their stories are unimaginable. I know so many of us took some time to say a prayer, donate a little extra cash, even visit and help in the area. I jus don't want us to forget about what our friends in the south are still suffering through.
