brtalley
hey guys...i absolutely love this game. it's running choppy, but the guys over at the support board are helping me make it better. i was just wondering what your favorite datafiles where and why. i'm still fairly new and dont even know what datafiles really do. i know it changes camera angles...what else though? does it change gameplay? can i have more than one? when i play, the running and throwing is really fast, and someone suggested changing the datafile...and i just wanted to know about the different ones and what was the favorite around here and why. thanks. UncleMo
Download BIG SHMOOZ. You can have only one, I think. For that fast gameply, I think you need to turn vsync off (or is it on) in the options in your game. Do that asap, yeow.
Pirate
I actually would like to know these same questions and I have been playing this game for a year.

MaddiesDaddy
hey guys...i was just wondering what your favorite datafiles where and why. i'm still fairly new and dont even know what datafiles really do. i know it changes camera angles...what else though? does it change gameplay? can i have more than one? when i play, the running and throwing is really fast, and someone suggested changing the datafile...and i just wanted to know about the different ones and what was the favorite around here and why. thanks. The datafile can adjust nearly any aspect of gameplay including camera angles....throw speed, hitting power, contact, pitchers fatigue rate, the size of the sweet spot on the pitch meter, the way the ball bounces off the walls, the angle the ball takes on grounders and bunts, the position of the fielders, remove the baserunner PIP, remove foul ball replays, adjust the music and crowd noise, etc etc etc To me the in game sliders are great already and being able to mod a datafile is just an extension. I have made a datafile available which adjusts the position of the fielders for each type of fielding scenario that is available in the in game menu. Plus a batting camera mod from Trues and spitoon's pitching fix (use this link...http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=2780) The one I use personally has these mods as well as those from spitoon's pitching fix, Trues camera angle, Rodkey's ball physics and some others which I can not remember right now. Of course I am always refining and tweaking but the one I personally use is nearly where I want it to be. I just really enjoy the fact that you can personalize the game so much. brtalley
how much can a datafile change about the physics. do you think that the datafile's which change the physics make the game a lot better? does everyone who changes the physics list that? i feel like there are a lot of datafiles out there where people have a lot of stuff changed that they dont list. maybe i'm supposed to know, but i'm new. MaddiesDaddy
this info is usually recorded in a readme file....some people give a good description of what they changed and how it changes the game I think the readme with my datafile is pretty good...Rodkey's is excellent, as is Shmooz's. UncleMo
I tried ksmlove 6 datafile last night and that was great. I had to change the batting view to "lesser angle" whatever that means because the center view was too far back as if I was behind the ump. I won 5-3 against a great team. Try that one. PeoplesWar
Rodkey's is best, hands down.
