The Big O
It has become increasingly clear that with the popularity of the MVP 06 mod that this site is getting hammered with traffic. I believe that the two MVP 06 mod packages are the majority of the downloads right now and because they are so large the site is having major issues. Has there been any thought to hosting this mod somewhere else? I think Kccitystar volunteered his site to help. Also has anyone thought of making the files torrent files? There's got to be a good way to let this extraordinary mod be downloaded and still allow normal access to the site. Just a few thoughts...
Hory
Yea, when a user goes to download the mod there are three mirrors available to download from, here, kraw's and kc's site. The downtime is getting annoying but at least it's rejuvinating interest in a year-old game and hopefully attracting more donations to the site to pay for all this bandwidth... krawhitham
you could always kill the LL version, I have not heard about any install problems with the ILF version. could also break it up into 6 100mb files that might help
Kriegz
I think we should first try the idea of using 3 mirrors and dropping the LL version.

krawhitham
I hate torrents, you can get everybody's IPs But if you people don't care about that go for it
krawhitham
If it helps any we could also use my server to host it on. Upload it to your site, and PM me the link and I will add it to the list of mirrors
eber
Rapidshare.de and Filefront.com (specifically for games and associated files) would be good places to upload/mirror the files. There is a file limit size on rapidshare.de...not sure about Filefront.com...so the files might need to be split.
