RichYung23 Posted February 15, 2006 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I was wondering if the PS2 to USB converter works for the game and if so how? anyone can help? Also..is there anyway to make a season with all teams? Thanks in advance. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kgbaseball Posted February 15, 2006 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Yes it works, I use it. Google "PS2 USB Converter" or something, and you should find it. THe only thing you need with it is Joy to Key, although its not necessary. J2K just allows the ps2 controller to act as the mouse so you can move it with the left analog. Hoop27 Posted February 15, 2006 Share Posted February 15, 2006 you should just be able to plug it into the usb and go. there may have been an install disk with it (but windows XP should recognize it) then when you run the game just select the controller. but you should just be able to plug and play is the main thing. Phatferd Posted February 15, 2006 Share Posted February 15, 2006 You don't need to download a crazy program like the Xbox 360 controller or anything? I have the xbox controller currently and its a pain to set up for games. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

klon122 Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wouldn't go as far as hacking the registry. Have your adapter plugged in. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Game Controllers and take note of the name of the adapter that Windows detected. For example, on my Windows installation, the adapter is called just "USB Joystick." Go to your controller.cfg in My Documents by opening it in Notepad. Now remember what I wrote about the name of your adapter in the Game Controllers window? Take a look at this: profile= USB_Joystick_____ device= USB_Joystick_____ player= 1 number_of_buttons= 12 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 11 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 12 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 4 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 3 VPAD_THROW_BALL= not_assigned -1 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 12 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 11 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 11 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 3 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 12 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 7 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 8 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 1 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 7 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button 8 Notice that my adapter in Windows is called "USB Joystick," so any spaces should be replaced by underscores. Copy and paste the stuff above onto your controller.cfg file and change the Profile and Device to whatever name Windows detected for you and replace any spaces with underscores. Save the file and close. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
five Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 Sometimes you have to hack the registry. In 04 you did. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
klon122 Posted February 18, 2006 Share Posted February 18, 2006 I actually did the registry hack, but found it simpler to do what I suggested above. This worked for me for both 2004 and 2005. Anyways, the OP's problem has been solved via his bump of an old topic. So now I can rest easy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
