Traxis
Hi everyone. I'm starting a Dodgers dynasty now with the MVP 06 mod, (BTW: GREAT work, guys! EA should give you all jobs!), and one thing I noticed is certain injured players aren't injured in game. I can understand why this was done, because I'm sure there are people who would like to use those players, and restricting them for everyone wouldn't be a good idea. So, what do you guys recommend doing to the injured players, so I can get as realistic an experience as possible? Example: Cesar Izturis is expected to be out until the All Star break; is there a way to use an editor to put him on an injured list, or should I just demote him to the minors and bring him up when he is 'healed'? Thanks in advance for any advice/insight.
skte1ement
If i was in your situation i would lower his stats to that comparable to aaa or whatever league you decide to put him in and when it is about time he should be back call him up and readjust his stats. as far as i know there is no to give a player an injury. medric822
there is basicly no point in doing what skte1ement does, because no matter what, they'll be unhappy. It's better just to put him on the 15Day DL if he is injured anywhere's from 9-18 days. ok, here's what I do, and it wooks pritty good: 9-22 days, put on 15 Day DL once, let him sit on bench rest of time until healed. 23-37 days, put on 2 15day DL's 38-50, Put on 3 15 day DL's 51-60, Place on 60 Day DL 61+ use your jundgment on this one, if out for 64 games, just let him sit for the other 4 or so days, but if out for like 100 days+, just put back on 60 day dl every 60 days, until the offseason, or injury healed, or even release this player. skte1ement
true never thought about the players happiness. i choose to rule my players with an iron fist and disregard all their complaints because personally if i was being payed 100s of thousands of dollars or maybe millions if your a yankee to sit in the sun, swing the bat a couple times id be the happiest person in the world. and if that smile dindt wokr my bad im not sure how to use htem :)
medric822
well, the happier they are, the better they play. Something I've noticed. also, argueing a call, if goes well, your guys ratings will improve, say from 56 power to possibly 60 power. and if it dosn't go well, it goes from say 60 to 56. TheMadcap
arguing a call? I thought that only the manager could do this?
phillipsg1322
They are the only ones who can argue but the result of their arguement will effect their players.
RBaggio10
Yes, if you don't get thrown out the players react positively. If you get thrown out they react negatively.
medric822
well, even if you dont get thrown out, they may act bad, and sometimes if you get thrown out, they get good results. I've seen it all.
