Mynk88
Hi. I'll be getting MVP2005 this week and plan on trying my hand at making the 1963 season. My question regarding editing is that although I have a pretty good grasp on how to adjust batting sliders and ratings to reflect a players stats, I'm always at a loss when it comes to the hot and cold zones. Do you roster makers have a generic formula that you use? For example, if you have a right handed, high average/power hitter, would you make squares 2, 4,5,6 and 8 hot spots against lefties and maybe just 4,5 and 6 against righties? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. P.S. And to those thinking "You're a Red Sox fan, and you want to make the '63 season? What are you, nuts?" LOL It was the first year my dad got me into baseball and I fell in love with the game and that team, so it holds a very special place in my heart, despite the fact they were terrible. Jim825
If you import the players (or entire teams) using the Lahman database, a lot of the information, including the hot / cold zones is automatically filled in for you in MVPEdit.
