ronmexico
O the Total Classics thread...I was wondering what you were talking about...sorry. Where did it say that you were talking about the total clalssics site? Isn't this a datafile thread?

ronmexico
Since when is there a datafile in the cd1? I thought it was built into mvp2005.exe.
pdub
Why the hell would you ever want to play with the default one? There are so many datafiles out there that are better than EA's. I suggest you learn how to create your own "angles". Anyways - here is a link to the default datafile. http://rapidshare.de/files/33288030/EAdatafile.txt.html Put it in your "data" directory and delete the "EA" from the front of the filename. Jim825
Since when is there a datafile in the cd1? I thought it was built into mvp2005.exe. The datafile.txt file is embedded in the datafile.big file (which resides in the datadatafile folder). To create a new datafile, you first extract datafile.txt from datafile.big and then make your tweaks (after you decompress it).
Jim825
thanks for the help but i decided to do this. i need someone to tell me how to change the existing datafile so that the meter is the same size it was in the original. i know many people have said how to do this but i cant find the text to edit in my folder. so any help is wanted Here's what you need to do: 1. Find this line in the datafile: 0x739c0a96 233<batterpitcher> 2. Now change the following values: Set 34 accuracywidth to 0.120 Set 40 linespeed to 0.750 Set 50 badaccuracywidth to 0.15 Set 141 perfectaccuracygreen to 255 Set 143 Perfectaccuracyalpha to 255 Set 144 perfectaccuracysize to 0.25 Set 152 accuracygreen to 255 This will restore the pitch meter to the default EA size and speed. Edam
How does one get the Pitch Meter back to the center? I replaced the datafile, but no dice.

nojoke
I installed the 06 final after a clean install of MVP, but my old edited datafile seems to still be in use. Since the 06 final has an installer, I don't know how to find just the datafile.txt. Can anyone point me in the direction of Kraw's updated datafile? I'd like to see all the new camera angles everyone is raving about. Thanks.
Edam
If I'm not mistaken, if there is no datafile.txt in your data folder, then you should be using the one that came with the '06 mod. If there is one there, rename it then see if it's different. I had no datafile.txt in my data folder when I installed the '06 mod clean.
pdub
Yes, krawhitham's datafile is in the datafile.big file so there is no need for it in the data folder.
nojoke
So just go to the folder, rename datafile.txt, so there won't be a "datafile.txt" in the data folder, and it should then default to what Kraw included? Thanks for your help.

GoldGlove
If I use MDaddy's Datafile, will this screw up my game?
TheMadcap
I'm using it & it seems fine. Needs some slider tweaks though.
nanaman
I made the tweaks to the game file as listed at the bottom of the last page and I got the pitching meter to change, but now the trail on the ball when it's hit is huge and the missed pitch meter is a whole lot flatter, has anyone else had this problem? Edit: On second thought, would putting the camera portion of the datafile.txt and using that in the data folder make it use the cameras from the mod but the physics from the other one? Could someone take the camera portion out of the one that comes with the mod and put in in a txt file?
redsox
Just wanted to know what kind of camera angles that you all play with? Meaning what camera angle do you use for batting/pitching and if you have modified your camera angle? I am just trying to get a new look while playing this game and just wanted to know what others used. Here are the views that I use while playing.
