APR
Nice work so far, couple things you might want to think about changing: 1. Go back to normal font size. 2. Use the Code function for the boxscores, makes it look good. Other than that, nothing, its a really good start.
dweaver99027
Thanks for the tips, friend. As for the fonmt size, I like a little more variation, not to mention that the pages will go by faster and there won't be many bandwidth problems. As for the boxscore, I'll see what I can come up with.

Given the fact that I'm an A's fan, I won't give this up unless work becomes overly taxing on my time. Thanks for posting, for a while I thought I only had one person alone watching this, lol. dweaver99027
Series: vs. TEXAS Rangers (4-6) April 15, 2006 TEXAS RANGERS 6 @ OAKLAND ATHLETICS 0 Team Record: 5-6 Game Notes: Inning 2: Top: David Dellucci drives in Phil Nevin from second, with 1 out. 0-1 - Sac Fly over to the left by Rod Barajas. 0-2 - RBI double by DeAngelo Jimenez. 0-3 Inning 8: Top: RBI by Brad Wilkerson. 0-4 Inning 9: Top: Michael Young hits it for 2RBI off of Juan Cruz. 0-6 A's are shutout in their worst game of the season so far... Below: The Colisseum was packed in this first home game against a divisional rival, but Kevin Millwood pitched a great game and Oakland's offense was nowhere to be found for the entire 9 innings, leading the Rangers to their second straight win.... This was easily the worst performance the Oakland Athletics have put out since the beginning of the regular season some 12 days ago. Batters were hitting it straight to the infielders, runners almost never got into scoring position and Barry Zito recorded his third straight loss for the year as he gave up 4 runs in 8 innings, but 3 in the second inning alone. Juan Cruz came in to pitch the 9th, gave up 2 more runs and the disaster was complete. The A's had an amazing 4 hits in the entire game, and they certainly could not hope to best one of the most potent offenses in the entire league with this offensive display of their own.. WP:Kevin Millwood (2-0) LP: B. Zito (0-3) BOXSCORE: TEX 6R - 10H - 1E OAK 0R - 4H - 0E Stats of Note: TEX: K. Millwood 7.2 IP, 4H, 0R, 0ER, 1BB, 2SO -- ( Game MVP ) D. Delucci 3/4, RBI P. Nevin 2/4 OAK: N. Swisher 2/4 Post-Game Quotes: Barry Zito: "One more time, I just couldn't get a rhythm going on the mound. 3 losses for me to start the season is a tad too much. I really have to step it up, big time, if we are going to win this division. Mark Swisher: "We couldn't hit a fastball with an ironing board today, that's how bad our hitting was. 4 hits in the entire game. It's just plain awful. I don't think this team has ever played so bad while I'm here. Kevin Millwood:"Everything seemed to click for us, and we just grabbed the opportunity to get out of here today with the win. I had a very good day on teh mound, but I'm more happy that the team won."
dweaver99027
April 16, 2006 TEXAS RANGERS 3 @ OAKLAND ATHLETICS 2 Team Record: 5-7 Game Notes: Inning 2: Bottom: Nick Swisher hits a 2 run bomb over the right. Home Run! 2-0 Inning 5: Top: 3 run homer by Michael Young. 2-3 Another abysmal offensive performance, another defeat... Below: Nick Swisher helped make a good start to the game for the A's with a 2 run homer, but Chris Young answered soon after with a home run off of Rich Harden that put 3 runs on the table. Harden didn't give up any more runs, but was still saddled with the loss in the end, all the while Codero was getting his 4th save of the season... Another incredubly poor offensive showing by the Athletics led to their 5th home defeat in 5 games, so far. After Nick Swisher's 2 run jack in the 2nd, Oakland struggled to get hits, much less runs, and a 3 run homer by reigning AL batting champion Chris Young made it 2-3 in the 5th, which proved to be the game's final score as well. It was a drab game all in all, and the team that was marginally less poor got the win today.. WP: Adam Eaton (2-1) LP: R. Harden (1-2) SV: F. Cordero (4) BOXSCORE: TEX 3R - 8H - 0E OAK 2R - 5H - 0E Stats of Note: TEX: M. Young 2/4, HR, 3RBI -- ( Game MVP ) D. Delucci 2/4 OAK: M. Kotsay 2/3, BB N. Swisher 1/4, HR, 2RBI Post-Game Quotes: Rich Harden: "We played bad on offense, once more. Feels bad not having won at home in 5 games, this is for sure. We'll get them tomorrow. Mark Swisher "Rich is right. He did his job, allowed only 3 runs, but we could not produce on offense. I don't know what's wrong, but we'll have to figure out soon before we fall way below the .500 mark. Chris Young:" Both sides had poor offensive outings today, and the mere separating factor was that I had one more runner on base when I hit my home run than Nick Swisher did. I'm glad we won, but I'm not pleased by our performance."
dweaver99027
April 17, 2006 TEXAS RANGERS 3 @ OAKLAND ATHLETICS 4 Team Record: 6-7 Game Notes: Inning 1: Top: Brad Wilkerson crushes Esteban Loaiza'a low changeup for a 2 run homer. 0-2 Inning 3: Top: Sac Fly by Delucci. 0-3 Bottom: Bases loaded, no outs, sac fly by Swisher. 1-3 Inning 4: Top: Loaiza injured. Looks like a torn rotator cuff. This is bad news. RBI single by Kendall. 2-3 Inning 6: Triple by Kotsay, 2 runs batted in, A's grab the lead. 4-3 Loaiza goes down for the season, A's get comfort win... Below: Esteban Loaiza started teh game giving up a home run to Brad wilkerson, but that was not the worse of the news to come for him. In the next pitxh he attempted to throw, he somehow overexerted himself and tore his rotator cuff, effectively ending his season in only his 3rd start. In the actual game, the A's managed to overcome Texas' early 3-0 lead and their manager's tossing by the umpire, by gradually tranforming hit sinto runs, stealing bases and gatting few, yet timely, hits.... The result of this game was greatly overshadowed by Esteban Loaiza's surgery requiring injury in his throwing arm's shoulder. His torn rotator cuff came in only his 3rd start of season, which rises questions of possibly poor preparation and conditioning. This is a great loss for the A's, who gave Loaiza 21 million for 3 years during the past offseason, and they now not only have losty one year out of their investemnt, but they also do not know if Loaiza will ever be able to fully be the same pitcher he was before the injury, taking under consideration his 34 years of age. In the game itself, Brad Wilkerson and David Delucci gave the Rangers an early 3-0 lead, but Oakland managed to scrape through 4 runs and get their first home win of the season... WP: Kirk Saarloos (1-0) LP: V. Padilla (0-3) SV: H. Street (3) BOXSCORE: TEX 3R - 15H - 1E OAK 4R - 9H - 0E Stats of Note: TEX: B. Wilkerson 2/5, HR, 2RBI M. Texeira 3/4 OAK: M. Kotsay 3/5, 2RBI, 2B, 3B -- Game's MVP E. Chavez 2/4 N. Swisher 1/1, RBI, R, 2BB Post-Game Quotes: Esteban Loaiza: " I'm not in the mood for any comments, guys. It hurts too bad right now. And not just the shoulder, if you know what I mean. Mark Kotsay: " We won, but we're more concerned about Esteban's health at the moment. We learned he'll be out for the season, and the whole team wishes him the best. We'll be waiting for him to pitch again for us next year. Brad Wilkerson:" We lost today, because we played poorly on offense in the second half of the game. This is becoming a worrying trend, and we need to adress the issue. The Texas Rangers wish Esteban Loaiza a speedy recovery." --- BREAKING NEWS --- The fears have been ubfortunately validated. Esteban Loaiza has suffered a torn rotator cuff and will miss the entire season. The team wishes him a speedy recovery, and will await his return for the year 2007. Kirk Saarloos takes Loaiza's spot in the rotation, while veteran flamethrower Billy Koch has been called up from AAA Sacramento to fill Saarloos' void in the bullpen. Below: Pudge Rodriguez hit the first solo shot scoring the first run of the game in the 4th, and led an offesnive surge for the visitors who had a 0-4 lead by the end of the 5th. Oakland tried to rally back, but the home side's batters were being struck out like flies throughout... Another offensive sub-par performance led to another home defeat for teh struggling, so far, Athletics. The game started off slowly for both sides, with pitchers dominating, but Danny Haren lost it in the 4th and 5th, giving the Tigers a 4-0 lead, from which Oakland never really recovered. Wilfredo Ledesma started the game for the Tigers and fanned 8 batters, while Detroit had 12 K's altogether, never really giving the A's the chance to recover offensively. . WP:W. I do not know what is going on, we made a lot of acquisitions in teh winter to strengthen our lineup, but it has been me and the guys who have been here for some time who are not pulling their weight. Things will have to change. Mark Kotsay "I'll have to agree with Eric. We rarely get any hits in the first couple of innings of games, and that's hurting us deeper into the ballgame. We'll have to work harder to shape things up." Ivan Rodriguez:I am pleased, I played fine, and my team won. Wilfredo (Ledesma) did a nice job of keeping them honest with all those K's he threw, and he was the vital cog in our engine today."

Below: The infield kept the score close for teh A's until the collective explosion of Swisher, Chavez and Bradley put them ahead for good, leading Joe Kennedy and him to exclamate iin relief after a series of poor offensive showings came to an end... The Oakland Colisseum made a sigh of relief as A's fans saw their favorite team put up their best (and only good) offensive performance of the season and reached to an easy win over the Detroit Tigers. The visitors started off better, again, with Ivan Rodriguez and Carlos Guillen leading them to a 0-2 lead, but the trio of Eric Chavez, Milton Bradley and Nick Swisher continuously made good contact with teh ball and combined for the team's 8 out of 10 total runs. . M. Bradley: " That felt good. I don'r remember ever hitting an inside teh park home run for 4 RBIs in the past, even though that error made it unoficial. Anyway, good thing is we won with our offense today, and we definitely needed to put the pressure off our pitching for a change. " Ivan Rodriguez: They were too good for us today. We'll be stronger tomorrow to close the series with a win"

Below: Barry Zito pitched the entire game and rarely made a single mistake, allowing only one run in 9 innings, therefore giving the chance to his once again underperforming offense to get the second home win of the season... The Athletics reverted back to their lacklustre hitting days, but this time they were more than bailed out by Barry Zito's exceptional 9 inning - 1 run performance. Barry, reminiscent of his 2002 days perhaps, dominated almost every Tiger batter except Pudge Rodriguez, and got his first favorable decision of the regular season, after his disappointing 0-3 start. If he continues like this, we have too little to fear. Jeremy Bonderman:" It was an unlucky game for us today, Zito factor aside.
