AstroEric
Here's something weird that probably me and four other people will like...but I'm trying to find ways to contribute to this site and I apparently am still lousy at cyberfaces. I've been thinking about doing this for awhile now, but never had any impetus until I saw the thread about the Greenville Drive. So anyway, I'm going to try to mod uni's for a whole single-A league. Why? Because they're the teams that I see play the most. Starting with my local Asheville Tourists. So what I need are images of jerseys (in most cases, I can find the hat/helmet logos online) for the following teams: Augusta GreenJackets Charleston RiverDogs Columbus Catfish Delmarva Shorebirds Greensboro Grasshoppers Greenville Drive Hagerstown Suns Hickory Crawdads Kannapolis Intimidators Lake County Captains Lakewood BlueClaws Lexington Legends Rome Braves Savannah Sand Gnats West Virginia Power --Eric
forn03
Not the best, but here are some I found for Lakewood through a quick search on Google image: http://media.scout.com/media/image/21/216023.jpg http://orig.app.com/webextraspg/0728sports...2-Tag%20Out.jpg http://www.twp.lakewood.nj.us/images/players.jpg http://www.blueclaws.com/images/news/RyanHoward.jpg I'd get you some personal pics, but I probably won't get to a game until May-June
AstroEric
Thanks. That at least helps me set up where the colors are in the uniform. I got a copy of the official colors of each team off of the Internet. I also got this: Thanks!
biker_jim_uk
where is the template in the pics? There are no creases or shading?
Moser316
It looks like you're taking your colors from game/merchandise photographs. I've found in my experience that it's not a very accurate way to match colors. Try the spreadsheets at ssur.org, it's an invaluable resource for any team you can think of (including the Sally League)
AstroEric
where is the template in the pics? There are no creases or shading? Jim: This goes back to the question I asked in another thread, re: using templates with dark-colored uniforms. I'm using the 2X templates found in the downloads section. I'd be happy to go back and do these over if you could advise me on how to get accurate colors and maintain the creases, etc. I was planning on redoing these anyway. I just wanted to put something out there so I could show that I could do something even if it's not the best in the world. --Eric
biker_jim_uk
I told you how to do it in that thread.

AstroEric
Okay. So I've started over on the path to learning uniform design. Here's a quick preview of a uniform that I haven't set up the right fonts for, and whose logo is, as TT pointed out for my other unis, too big. And I accidentally left the TM on the sleeve logo. But the colors should be right. Here are some questions for the peanut gallery: 1. Any advice on making the logos look more texture-y? Right now they look like plastic. 2. Any idea how to get a logo on the side of the hat? These guys have the peach/hook there. I tried putting it where I thought it should go, but it would up split in half. 3. Any other general advice? --Eric
Pirate
My advice is it looks great and please keep going!
UncleMo
That cyberface is a horrible release of mine and there is a fix coming soon, AstroEric.
Kriegz
Looks alot better. Maybe make the text even a bit smaller and see if you can find a tutorial on adding the threading. Great job so far, I would download it as is.
AstroEric
Often times my inability to find information on the forums derives from my inability to find the right word to describe what I'm looking for. "Threading" isn't it. "Uniform texture" means a different thing entirely. "Stitching" also doesn't work. Any other suggestions? --Eric
biker_jim_uk
look on google for tutorials on material effects
five
Moser had a tutorial up for awhile, but now the pictures from his original post are gone. I'll see if I can find any others for you. This one seems similar to mosers results.
