ChicagoCubs720
Man, now I know what it used to feel like to be a Sox fan: I don't really care that much but am I feeling some favoritism?
ixcuincle
Well they are the world champions so of coure they'll get some favoritism. How many games will WGN broadcast?
kgbaseball
My advice would be NOT to listen to 670am, Chicago's sports talk radio, where you can't go more than 5 minutes without hearing "670am, the new home of Chicago White Sox baseball." The Cubs should and will always be Chicago's team.
NYM
I was in Chicago in August and I saw more Cub shorts and hats than White Sox. I was near the south side too.

Yeah it's the same way everywhere. It was extremely weird last October to have a World Champion in your city and have 2/3 of the population not care at all. Many White Sox fans try to create this false image that the entire city of chicago, cubs fans and all, jumped on the bandwagon. This is not true. It's just wierd that the White Sox would somehow dominate any type of media when the cubs have dominated the city of chicago forever. I'm guessing it might be kind of like that in New York with the Yankees, but I might be wrong since New York is so much larger that there is probably plenty of room for the Yankees and Mets to co-exist. Actually no. The YES network broacasts almost every game on the Yankees' schedule and the majority of the city goes for the team that's most successful and was basically the face of baseball in the 90s out here, the Yankees. However because the Yankees' just don't have any in the tank almost every october, there's been an influx of Mets fans, then again, there are alot of Mets fans prior to the Yankees' world series droughts.
