Hoop27
Version 2.2 is now ready (damn thought I had it ) Well I'm as happy as I'll ever be with the sliders. remember to adjust according to your own tastes! Hoop27's Allstar Sliders with the MVP 06 mod V2.2 User Pitch Meter Difficulty: 15 Pitch Speed: -5 CPU Pitcher Ball Rate: 8 User Pitcher Fatigue: -17 CPU Pitcher Fatigue: 6 User Pitch Control: 5 CPU Pitch Control: 0 Bullpen Fatigue Rate: 0 Bullpen Fatigue Grace: 0 User Batting Contact: -5 CPU Batting Contact: -11 User Batting Power: 0 CPU Batting Power: -30 User Bunting Ability: 5 CPU Bunting Ability: -7 User Foul Ball Frequency: 50 CPU Foul Ball Frequency: 50 CPU Swing Frequency: -25 User OF Speed (Manual & MVP): 2 CPU OF Speed: 2 User IF Speed (Manual & MVP): 0 CPU IF Speed: 0 User Throw Speed: 0 CPU Throw Speed: -0 User Throw Accuracy: 0 CPU Throw Accuracy: -18 User Catch Errors: 15 CPU Catch Errors: 35 User Dive Difficulty: 0 CPU Catch Effort: -15 User Baserunning Speed: 0 CPU Baserunning Speed: 0 User Runner Aggression: 0 CPU Runner Aggression: -7 User Runner Steal Speed: 2 CPU Runner Steal Speed: 2 User Runner Steal Delay: -3 CPU Runner Steal Delay: -3 CPU Steal Rate: 7 Runner Injury Frequency: 0 Pitcher Injury Frequency: 0 Batter Injury Frequency: 0 Fielder Injury Frequency: 0 Pitching MG Difference: 5 Verison 1.0 This should help the people that are finding pitching a little too difficult, however pitching mistakes will still be punished by the CPU. Version 1.1 made adjustments to Running speeds and the delay speeds. I had been finding it too easy to steal. Also adjusted the OF speed slightly to compensate for the OF's being so far back. Version 1.2 Improved CPU and human bunting. adjusted CPU and human throw speeds. made more adjustments to the steal speeds and delays. Version 2.0 (Final I hope) more tinkering with the bloody steal numbers hopefully I have it now. Version 2.1 cpu ball rate down a hair and cpu throw accuracy up a bit (thanks to skte1ement for this one) and one last touch up to the steal speed. Version 2.2 made a small adjustment to CPU fielding that hopefully cuts down on those "errors" when you hit a single and the outfielder bobbles it. Hope this helps the enjoyment of playing this incredible mod! and don't be afraid to make suggestions for further improvement! Quick reminder if you find your pitching gets a little too strong try turning off the hot/cold zones if you havent already it adds some more challenge. I'm also playing with Hitter's eye off. (F'ing changeups!)
aklaft
User Pitch Meter Difficulty: 15 Newb question here: does increasing that make it easier, or harder? I've been assuming lower numbers meant easier.
Hoop27
15 makes it easier the slider system is from -50 to +
aklaft
OK, thanks, I've been playing at -15 and it wasn't helping me out at all. I think I'll try 15.
golfguy10
Interesting. Don't you find the computer baserunners are faster when both settings are Zero?
Hoop27
The stealing delay has been an issue for me for as long as I can remember. as of right now this is the best that i have found to get what looks like realistic steals. (for human and cpu)

skte1ement
great sliders, any suggestions to prevent my pitchers getting ahead 0-2 almost every batter early in the game? it is only a porblem early when my pitcher is not tired.
Raderick
Thanks for the sliders. Only one complaint I have, and that is I find pitchers being hammered way too much. I'm always seeing high scoring games

Well you can up the CPU contact slider would be my first guess (I'm assuming swings and misses) if it's they are taking too many for your liking just turn up the CPU swing frequency and see if it helps. Hoop27
Is it easier to pitch? yes. while it does not increase the green area it will increase that brown area, so you dont have pinpoint control but you are not hanging nearly as many pitches. I'm always seeing high scoring games Well I find it tough to hit in general because I SUCK! for you I would suggest decreasing the user and cpu batting contact sliders a little and see if that helps you. Also if you find they are hitting you hard on hung pitches moreso than anything else try increasing the user pitch meter a little bit and see if that helps. skte1ement
hey hoop27 i gotta say your sliders rock! played through a couple games today and with 06 it used to be a normal scoring affair but with a ridiculous amount of hits. with your sliders i find myself in many high pressure situations needing to come up with timely hits to stay in the game or win it. great work dont know how you do it but you have definantly added to the great enjoyment of the mod. THANKS

THANKS I'm really glad you enjoy it and thanks! Basically I've been playing PC baseball since Earl Weaver Baseball and always have looked for a good balance between sim and making the game easy enough for the average gamer to play. Hopefully I haven't messed it up too much
skte1ement
After a bunch of games i have noticed a lot of errant pick off attempts byt he CPU...do you think that is because throw accuracy is at -23? any thoughts?
Hoop27
ya I would think that would be it. I'd bump it to somewhere between -20 to -18 and see if that works for you.
Hoop27
just a quick note for the guys using my sliders. if you get to a point where you find the pitching getting a bit easier try turning off hot/cold zones in your options. i just tried it and it makes it just a little tougher not knowing where the blue spots are. Hoop27
yet another touch up to the sliders.
m4g1c
I'll give this a try, thanks. Except I edited the biggui file to make the pitch meter difficulty back to default, so I'll use -23 for that, since that's what the setting was from the sliders I used on PS2. m4g1c
Yeah that worked out for me, I think it's a tad easier than the default for MVP 06. One more thing. Does anyone else think the outfielders run just a little bit too fast? It seems like I hit a bunch of sure gappers for doubles and they're only singles. Let me know what you guys think, I was thinking maybe -5 would be good. That's just a suggestion. The infielder's speed seems alright, except I wish there was a seperate slider for a pitcher's running speed. I really don't think they should be able to beat some of the fastest players in the league to the base so easily; but that has always been a problem even with the default PS2 MVP 05. I wonder if there is a way to edited some files to make a pitcher's running speed slower without effecting the infielder's speed?
Hoop27
The outfielder speed got bumped because in the mod sometimes they position themselves so far back they cant get to shallow flies. with it at +2 they get to most of the short ones but you will still get your dying quail to fall in there. feel free to mess around with them anyway you want, because everyone has different tastes.
