ee
Is there a way to adjust how CPU free agents are signed, or at least the frequency? It seems a team will resign 98% of their free agents at the end of the year leaving about 3 good players to sign a year. Top players like Beltran never seem to become free agents... Because it'd be too difficult to give some sort of algorithm to determine who should or should not be signed, I'm sure there's a way to simply make it so less players are re-signed? pfunk880
There's actually a file called resign in the /data folder, you may want to mess around with that.
ee
Thanks, forgot about that file. Yeah, this is definitely helpful... My problem with it is it only uses age, and star level as determining factors. So I could change "star level 4, age 26" from 95% to 85% for example, but it doesn't keep in mind how they played, or how their team did, or how large of a market the team is. So, Carlos Beltran will certaintly be signed in game while there's no chance he will in reality. And if I change his 98% to say 60% - it also means people like a ...say, Carlos Zambrano which is definitely sticking around for quite some time, won't be resigned. Eh, guess it's the best I'll get.
