ee
I've been using Roddata 3, and haven't updated it (I think it's at 7 now?) I just curious as to if anyone knows of any blaring pros/cons to updating. I don't have, nor want, the PIP swing replay. From the screenshots I saw I'm not sure I want Kamasutra's cameras either, but I haven't played with them to be sure. I want to finally start my full Dynasty, and just want to be sure I have the best datafile and all I would rather a datafile be skewed towards Man vs CPU, but I do Manage and Sim a lot of games too. Thanks guys
ezdriver
I tend to play arcade-style only. I have v4 installed and I believe the concensus is that it is probably the best one released so far. I feel that the game is enhanced overall with any of these datafiles, but I do have one complaint that I wish someone would give me directions on how to adjust to my satisfaction. I hate the smaller green "snap" area that the pitchers have to hit to get accurate pitches with these datafiles. I do understand that they are made more for CPU vs. CPU games, but if I can get the sections in the datafile that can be 'un-modded' to give me the default EA snap area, I would love this game a 1,000 times over. Any help is appreciated. ez
RobMac
i play human vs cpu and i love the tiny green slip... especially when heading close to over 70 pitches it becomes almost impossible to hit unless you revert to the guy's best 1 or 2 pitches he possesses... the reality is in the MLB only the top handful of pitches can control where their pitches actually end up on a sixpence on a regular basis... most of the 2-5 starters in the rotation will miss the spot half of the time but still get by because its close enough... the tiny green area creates a lot of mistake balls which come up as crosses and therefore the batters take them and full counts are an issue (i walked in a run in my last game)... and also creates the very realistic circumstance of being forced to go to a pitcher's strongest pitch (usually the 4seamer) when the chips are down... having a tiny slit of green helps me appreciate how good it is to have a pitcher like pedro or beckett on board where i can control the pitches for a good 5 innings... but if its not for you then im sure someone can help with your datafile request :)
