SatanJones
I've been playing a Dynasty with the Mets and they are leading the division 1/4 of the way through the season. At LEAST 7 or 8 times in 40 games, my 3B David Wright has had a hit to tie or take the lead in the 9th inning, nearly every time with 2 outs as a last resort. Moreover, he has not one FAILED to drive them in in these situations, not even once. It's almost ridiculous - because none of my other players are this clutch. It's really fun to imagine Wright becoming the face of NY baseball with these kind of performances - and I can see it happening in real life too this year. Who is your team's absolute clutch performer - the guy who you almost EXPECT to get a huge hit with 2 outs in the 9th?
keith0156
i use the Mets too, and the most clutch player is Julio Franco. Basically he got some playing time when Delgado was out for like a week or so. went on fire. going back to bench once Delgado is back, and about 80% of the time when he came in to pinch hit, he delivers. he is also top 10 in HR in NL with limited playing time

medric822
David Ortiz, with 6 games left in regular season, he has hit 92 homers! I dont cheat either.
dweaver99027
Nick Swisher Aye, Nick is a home run machine when he pulls those fastballs over to the right... My most 'clutch' performer has been Pedro Feliz in a side dynasty I'm playing with the Giants. He had 3 walk off home runs in the first 15 games. :!:

DJEagles
So far, 17 games into my dynasty, playing with the Blue Jays, Russ Adams has been my clutch performer. He is hitting .367, with 8 homers.....

skte1ement
My whole A's lineup is clutch! In my second season of my 'chise and i got in order kotsay, bradley, chavez, swisher, giambi, crosby, biggio, johnson, and buck. the whole team is clutch, if i had to pick one i think it would probably be swisher. the guy is a d@mned beast in this game! his progression from the first season has his stats skyrocketing. hopefully i can beat the damned yankees in the playoffs this year. they took me down in 5 in the first round last go around. SwinginSoriano
Alfonso Soriano won the most games for me Ryan Zimmerman got two walk-offs Chad Cordero only gave up 2 ER, one blown save (Now it's going to be July in my dynasty BTW) I gotta say my most clutch player is John Patterson. With an ERA under 1, beating the good teams, routinely striking out over ten, he carries the team despite only going out there once or twice a week. My ultimate "stat padder" is crappy ol' Cristian Guzman. He's the MLB leader in walks (none of my other players are even close, and Guzie has been on the DL), but he never seems to be scoring runs when it counts. Of course, when Boston was raping the Nats 10 nothing Guzman managed to hit his only two homeruns of the season that day. Which is remarkable because he's probably batting under .150. mrmariner
I could say Ichiro, Sexson, Beltre but those guys are surposed to perform with good stats. Willie Bloomquist is a guy that I can put anywhere in the infield and get good results. Plus he has a pretty good stick.

dweaver99027
Which reminds me, Travis Hafner has probably hit more than 4 walk off homers for me in various semi-finished/simmed dynasties and/or exhibition games. One of them was against Buehrle, haha.
Viceman2004
Mine is Eric Hinske. He had a breakout 2006 with .292 35/80. My most clutch player in the 9th inning.
UncleMo
I have numberous clutch players on my team. Teixeira Dunn are the top 2. I have a rookie catcher who is clutch as if he's been in the league for 10 years. I could probably put him anywhere in the lineup. His OBP is like .400 and his Slug is under .500. skte1ement
in an earlier post i said my whole lineup was clutch. well im in the post season now and i have to say Crosby is coming through!!! Chavez went down for the season late in the regular season so i bumped Crosby up to the number 3 spot. He hit somewhere around .265 for me with about 20 jacks, nothing that impressive but had good OBP and SLG %. So far after the first series which i won 3-1 against the Twins Crosby has a go ahead 3 run sho in the 8th when i was down by 2 runs to clinch game 3 and give me a 2-1 series lead. His numbers are impressive hitting just under .500 with a OBP of around .700 and a SLG % over 1.00. He has 3 HR in 4 games. Hopefully he can carry me to a world series but i gotta face the bo sox first and they are always tough. Rameriez went off this season and won mvp with 60 plus HR and 140 plus RBI. Lets hope the curse returns.
