Gordo
For you guys who really play the game or have played the game, would the animation do justice for tutorial/coaching tips? If so, would that include batting? pitching? fielding? both infield and outfield? Real curious what y'all think.
sustorm
a lot of it is fairly realistic, a coaching tool, I don’t know about that, if you really want to learn baseball watch Sunday night baseball with Joe Morgan and Jon miller, they teach the ins and outs of baseball, a great learning tool, and a great team to listen to. I think it is an average tool for learning, mvp that is, because you do have to time pitches when hitting and learn how to hit the ball to the opposite field, the throwing animations are not too bad but the fielding is sometimes, well gamish, the dives and such. the pitching is not too bad, because like hitting, you have to learn how to mix it up, throw high and low in the zone learn what pitches guys will chase and how to get a guy off balance. I don’t know if I made any sense or just rambled on. Thanks for listening. I have played and studied baseball for 13 years, not professionally
lautrec
I've seen some nice looking animations on here,,,but, man, I've seen some crazy stuff too. I've saw this last night: Runners on 1st and 2nd, one out. Hard grounder to my 2nd baseman, who just rifles one to the 3rd baseman. My 3rd baseman catches the ball about 3 steps from 3rd base, and just stops, looks around, then throws TOO LATE to first. Result? Bases loaded, NO OUTS. I don't think I'd use that little scenario for a coaching tool! I think my 3rd baseman was just a TOOL, in general! I do think the sliding animations are nice, and realistic, though. Sometimes the 2nd baseman looks pretty good on the double play turn.

I have played and studied baseball for 13 years, not professionally Miller and Morgan are definitely knowledgeable, but I don't like either of them. Miller is a Giants homer, and as a Padres fan I can't stand how he talks down about us. Morgan is just arrogant, and he doesn't know a thing about West Coast baseball. of course, I'm West Coast biased, but I can have my own opinion. I can at least respect that they are both very knowledgeable about the game.
