DarkEnigma510
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this while playing MVP2005: A person who in real life was a cup-of-coffee scrub who barely played in the major leagues but in the game progressed to the point where they were a huge star. My story revolves around a player named Angel Santos, a one-time prospect of the Boston Red Sox. He started off my dynasty as a player with lowly ratings and by the year 2010 ended up as the American League MVP. By the time 2010 had rolled around, I was simming most of my games so his skills had nothing to do with my thumbjockeying skills, and he also had very good ratings (contact and power in the 90s). In 2010, he had 50+ homers with around 150 RBIs. He was only a one or two star player if I recall so I found it curious that he progressed to such heighths since I know from studying the progression files the odds are against one and two star players becoming superstars. In real life, Angel Santos was a cup of coffee prospect who as far as I know, is completely out of baseball. Anyways, just one of those cool backstories that can develop within your dynasties. kgbaseball
Thats because of the player progression model, which unrealistically progresses players. If you want to change that, download the progression fix in the Files section. It didnt sound like Santos' progression was a problem for you, but in case it was, there you go. This happened after Bill Harris' progression fix. By the way, it didn't bother me--I actually enjoyed it. I just found it interesting, that's all.
