WIP: New Twins Stadium a.k.a. Mall of America Park

I am going to try to tackle making a version of the new Twins stadium. There are very limited pictures so I will have to use my imagination for some of it but it should be fun. I have no idea what the name of it will officially be but I dubbed mine the "Mall of America Park" I think it would fit as a good name since stadiums have corporate names and that is what comes to mind when I think of Minnesota Business.

Here is the first look at the scoreboard in center. I know it still needs work as the words are a little hard to read

I use the MLB or MLBPA logo from the field0.fsh, field1.fsh, field2.fsh and then move the verts in the mfield0, 1 and 2.orl an ord.

To add the roof could be tricky, but it is possible.

This, will be the very last step, if it can be done

Is that for the catchers path?

This might not have anything to do with modding, but your stadium name is somewhat ironic considering the Mall of America was built over the old Metropolitan Stadium the original home of the Twins. Also I want to thank all you amazing modders who keep games like these fresh for those of us who dont know enough to do it themselves

living in minnesota, and keeping track of the current stadium situation here in our great state, i will fill you in on some info.

http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...lpark/index.jsp

there is a link to the twins' baseball stadium plans. included are field measurements, concept pictures, and figures. this would be a great place to get your dimensional information from.

i know absolutely nothing about modding, but is it possible to create you own scoreboard or do you need to modify one thats already in game? (i ask this because i see you are using camden yards as a template).

I need to use a stadium as a template there is no way to make one completely from scratch. I chose Camden yards because I think it is laid out similar to the pics I have seen of the Twins new park.

April 10th of Never.

The funding, last I heard, fell through. Which is probably best, considering how generic and pointless the design was. It was just AHOKD, Another HOK Disaster, and I for one am glad it's hopefully dead.

Personally, even though the metrodome is bad for many reasons, it's the only park in history that actually made money for the city. Hence Pohlad's displeasure with the arrangement.

I have no idea how close to a reality it is. ballparksofbaseball.com says 2008 and the Twins website has info on it. Of course that means nothing in the world of stadiums. One reaosn I could see it happening is becasue it will require no money form the state just a small sales tax increase (although are any tax increases ever small). But Sean O's estimated opening date is probably pretty close to correct :p

The stadium is a concept and is what would be built IF the referendum gets passed in the legislature this Spring. If not, you can kiss Minnesota baseball goodbye.

I don't know what I would do without baseball...I really don't. :(
