69Yanks
Did searches and this is what I found: use nfshtool so use it on a 1x face "nfshtool c018.fsh" that makes a folder called c018 in that folder will be 2 files 0000.BMP and index.fsh the index.fsh is a text file open in notepad here is what it looks like Code: NFSHTool generated file -- be very careful when editing c018.fsh QFS SHPI 1 objects, tag G357 BUFSZ 262720 NOGLOBPAL !PAD 8 4275792045525453 face 0000.BMP BMP 78 +2 128 256 {0 0 0 0} ETXT 69 64 16 {0 0 0 0} EAGL64%20metal%20bin%20attachment%20for%20runtime%20texture%20management%00%00%00%00%00%00 ETXT 70 face%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00 #END notice the Code: BMP 78 +2 128 256 {0 0 0 0} line change it to Code: BMP 60 +2 256 512 {0 0 0 0} save the index.fsh file [b] I was successful with up to this point ( The next line says to copy your new image to the folder? This is what I think it means: Take the bmp image that I extracted from the fsh using Fished and resized to 256 x 512 and rename it from for example 416.bmp to 0000.bmp. Place it in the Folder where nfshtool is located. Also, make sure that the edited index.fsh file is in this folder. Next, create a .bat file by creating a text doc with nfshtool index.fsh as the text and save as a .bat file. Run the .bat file by double click. I did this and expect an output. I know I am missing something easy but what?? Thanks. ) copy your new image to the folder and rename it 0000.bmp now use nfshtool to but the fsh back together "nfshtool index.fsh" now you have a 2x fsh face file
UncleMo
I want to say yes but don't know. Download a face that says it is 2x and open it up with nfshtool and see for yourself. Have a good day.
69Yanks
Thanks UncleMo. I tried that one to no avail. I know I can take a 256 x 512 bmp and use FishEd to import over a downloaded 2x fsh. That is an alternative method. I get a little anal over stuff when I know there is another method, like posted above and can't get it to work. themewin
This is off topic but concerns cyberfaces, so 69Yanks, check your pm's.
69Yanks
themewin I sent a private response but my sent box does not show it went so here is the response that may help others: I see what you are trying to do. Coincidentally, I am trying the same with the 2004 half sided face for paste onto a 2005 face. The half sided are much better resolution. It takes alot of time so I can't do it for you but if you have paint shop pro or equivalent (think there is a free trial as Jasc.com) you can do this. Take the 2005 two sided and resize it in the paint shop to 256 x 256. Next resize the 2004 so that that it will overaly onto the 2005. It will likely not match up perfectly. In paint Shop Pro, when resizing, the image loses its SHARPNESS so I resharpen once resized. The overlay layer can be adjusted by setting the layer PROPERTIES to abou 50% transparency. I do this so I can see how the layer is fitting. Also, do not take the eye ball area of the 2004 and overlay it. Select Around this. Once the layout looks good, the transparency can be redjusted for that layer to 100% or whatever you want. I know this is tedious and may take you a long time. Do it in phases and save each phase as separate files. You will work on one side and then will need to use the MIRROR tool to flip 2004 image and do the overlay paste again or you can cut and paste the 2005 overlayed image and paste in a mirror orientation onto the other side of 2005. It will take trial and error. Use FRAPs to see how it looks in the various phases. Wish there was an easier way. You will learn paint shop a bit. DON"T forget to resize your completed .bmp back to 128 x 256 or if you are doing a 2x I think you resize it to 256 x 512. Compare the 1x and 2x in the game and see what one looks best. Free trial. I bought version 7 for about $10. www.jasc.com/products/...psp8-usdir
