chrob61
Hello all! I am just thinking about getting out my MVP2005 to play another season and was wondering when the latest roster update will be made. I see there is a soriano's swinging update that updates player stats, but what about players who have been traded, free agents, etc. for the upcoming season? Should I just be patient and wait til the end of spring training and then see who has the roster updates? Thanks!
Bama
Soriano's rosters are great. They're pretty much up to date, except for the Minors. If you want correct minors, check out Ultimate Rosters 5.1. They're great and up to date as well. Soriano's rosters are better for MLB but UR has EVERYTHING up to date.
SwinginSoriano
I have updated absolutely everything as well, contracts, ages, anything you'd expect. I even updated the MLB ratings, but, UR has Total Minors. Possibly they'll have updated major leaguers by opening day but I don't know.
krawhitham
Both are good, but I would not say SS's is better for MLB I have simmed a few seasons and the Reds #'s are way off Looking at raw ratings they look good, but what MVP does with the ratings does not work out too well. Dunn is a perfect example, he has never batted under .300 in any season I sim'ed. In real life he is a career .250 hitter
SwinginSoriano
That isn't the ratings fault Kraw, unless you want him to walk less.
