SwinginSoriano
Just the other day, I had my ace John Patterson on the mound against the last place Florida Marlins. He was kicking *** as usual, except this time, he had a no-hitter going. My offense was having a field day, they had 5 runs by the fifth inning. So, in order to preserve the no-hitter I brought out my defensive replacements because I sure as hell needed no more runs... Anyway, enter the eighth inning. I strike out the first two hitters, everything seems fine. But, my stamina is at the lower 40%. So, Miguel Olivo comes up to bat (who owns me in dynasty mode) and hits a single. Patterson gets denied again! Since I had large enough of a lead, I warm up Tyler Walker and do a mound visit. Patteron has a positive reaction. I only need one more out. Wes Helms pinch hits for the pitcher I believe, then he rips as single as well. Two runners on, one three run bomb can make this a close game. So I start to warm up one of my setup men, Joey Eischen. Patterson stays in against Eric Reed. He sucks, should be an easy out. He hits a grounder towards SS in the hole. One problem, Reed is hella-fast. Guzman isn't the world's most accurate thrower, I charge up the throw and it gets past Darryl Ward. By the time I retrieve the the ball, Reed is on third and two runs have scored. Since Eischen isn't ready I bring out Walker to relieve Patterson. Walker comes in and gets Hanley Ramirez to hit the ball to the ground. Ryan Zimmerman then procedes to throw this ball past Ward again. Ramirez makes it to third and now the game is 5 to 3. I give Walker one more shot and he surrenders a hit to Jeremy Hermida. 5 to 4. Now, I bring in Eischen and warm up Cordero. Eischen has the disadvantage of facing a right handed batter, Miguel Cabrera. But since a player already charged the mound I couldn't plunk him and pitch to Mike Jacobs. Like a moron I pitch to him, Cabrera doesn't hit the pitch out but he still gets the game tying double scoring Hermida. Runner on 2nd and 2 outs, now the game is on the line against Mike Jacobs. It's a favorable matchup for Eischen because Jacobs contact and power against lefties is only in the mid 60s and Helms was already used up. Jacobs then procedes to hit a double of his own. Scoring the winning run. 6 - 5, the Marlins keep Olsen (in relief) in. Soriano rips a double to start the innings. Looks like I can easily tie the game. In comes the closer Joe Borowski. He has been streaky against me. Both of his losses were against my team yet he was able to get two tough saves against me. Jose Guillen, mired in an awful slump, pops up, 1 out. Then Alou is up to bat. Ever since I traded for him he couldn't buy a hit, he hits a flyball that brings Soriano to third. (With Sori's speed it's easy to advance a base.) Now Darryl Ward is up to bat. My goal is to hit a single now, not crush it. Ward hits a grounder that seems to be able to go through Borowski's legs, he picks it, and throws to first and I lose. I surrendered all of my hits in one inning, it costed me six runs. Very heart breaking loss, the worst part is that MVP sucks at scoring and made Patterson's runs earned despite the fact an error was responsible for the runs scoring. I'm sure you guys had some real tough luck losses. This one is still fresh in my mind.
aaronuconn
The thinh i dont like in MVP is that sometimes players on the opposite team can get on a roll fast. Like they will hit anything u pitch. This happend to me, I was facing the marlins and i was up 3-0 going into the 7th. They have the top of the order up(Hanly ramirez, pokey resse, n miguel cab.) Hanly rips a 2b, i pitch one a foot out of the strike zone to resse n he hit s blooping single, then i pitch a splitter with tim hudson(brave dynasty) almost in the dirt and cabera hits a HR n scores 3. So its all tied up. I evnentually lost in the 12 Inn by a base hit by josh willingham to score mike jacobs. Them damn marlins, right Soriano:)

aaronuconn
Ya, is not like there a top rated team, i just hate losing to them in the 12th inn when i had the game won. Its like losing to minor league team.
